         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Limit copying from the board, handouts should be provided at every opportunity.</li><li>Extra time. Be mindful of rushing instructions and answers.</li><li>Dyslexia-friendly fonts (Arial, Comic Sans, Verdana, Tahoma, Century Gothic, Trebuchet, Calibri, Open Sans).</li><li>Consider the backgrounds you use - cream, light blue, and light pink work well.</li><li>Use visuals to support verbal instructions.</li><li>Only give 1 instruction at a time.</li><li>Set accessible homework - dyslexic students will take longer to complete homework, bare this in mind when setting.</li><li>Scaffold - dyslexic students aren’t less able, they just need work to be set in a format which they can access.&nbsp;</li><li>Encourage students to use technology.</li><li>Provide word mats, structure strips, keywords and sentence starters.&nbsp;</li></ol>]]></description>
