African tropical savannas have lots of herds of grazing (grass and herb eating) and browsing (twig and leaf nibbling) hoofed  animals. These trees keep there leaves (bristles) all year long. Though both biomes have dry seasons. They are both rich in vegetation and can support a variety of wildlife.
