Option 1: You delete the vertical grid and only have a horizontal grid. The horizontal grid would be used a guide to help you duplicate your pattern in a way that is organized. if you take my comments into consideration, you would need a horizontal line every 5 cms
Option 2: You would need to re-draw your grid from the start. The grid would be custom.
vertical grid: 3cm then 5cm then 3cm then 5cm and so on and so forth
