I personally added this image because the man’s emotions and his posture caught my eye. He looks sad about something and the colors to me are also very interesting the man is wearing a dark blue quote and the table is like a bright orange as well as the flower he’s holding.

This image caught my attention due to the apple on his face. I’m also curious on his suited appearance and the setting of where he his standing at.

Rene Magritte painting is a man in an overcoat with a hat he is standing in from a short walk and is near the sea. His face is covered by an apple the apple is suppose to hide who he really is making many people think about what’s hidden. "The Son of Man" makes people think about what is concealed and what is revealed in everyday life.

This artwork caught my eye because of the powerful waves shown. I find the ocean incredibly fascinating, especially the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. The beach is actually one of my favorites place to be.

The colors in this image also are very beautiful. However the pairing also makes me wonder about the boats and what it must have been like for those going through that storm.

The great wave of "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is a picture that tells a story using what you see. The main thing is a huge wave that looks very big. The artist uses lines and colors to make you feel the waves energy. There are also boats that seem like they are in danger and could be easily crushed by the waves. This pairing shows how nature can be so beautiful but also so dangerous.

I chose this because the figure in this pictures looks scared or shocked about something it seems like this figure is going through so many emotions at once I would want to know exactly why. But I also do like the colors the artist chose. Munch created "The Scream" to depict a moment of intense existential dread and anxiety he personally experienced while walking with friends at sunset

"The Scream" uses a style that's all about strong feelings. The main person looks stretched and twisted, showing they're really upset. The sky is swirly and uses weird colors to make you feel uneasy.Instead of looking real, the shapes and colors are exaggerated to make you feel the pain and strong emotions in the painting.

This painting was very interesting to me the colors and the way this man his expressing him self. He seems like he is suffering and probably going through depression. He seems very lonely and maybe playing the guitar is the one thing that keeps him pushing forward.

"The Old Guitarist," painted by Pablo Picasso during his Blue Period, is a poignant exploration of human suffering and social isolation. The old man is sitting hunched over, holding his guitar like he's lost all hope. The painting is mostly in shades of blue, which makes it feel really sad. It reminds us that Picasso himself was struggling with being poor and feeling down when he painted it.

I think it’s amazing how Rene explained the purpose of his painting.

This painting reminds me of when I was younger going out to the park with my family and being surrounded by so many people just enjoying the moment instead of being on there phones now and not really going out so I enjoyed seeing this pairing because it reminds me at some people many people use to go out and just enjoying time with there family and not put social media first.

This pairing shows being relaxing at the park on an island near Paris. There are plenty of people like wealthy people, regular workers just relaxing on a sunday evening. Seurat wanted to make the painting look balanced and organized, and he was really interested in how colors work together. He wanted to capture a regular, everyday scene but also experiment with color and how we see things.

This painting reminded me of when I was a kid when my dad used to live in a ranch me and my brother would go go over and there use to be a pond just like the one in the picture with a small bridge. This photo brought me joy and the colors made me feel at peace.

This painting shows a wooden bridge over a pond with lilies. The artist uses bright colors and light to make the scene look beautiful and dreamy. The green plants and flowers around the pond reflect in the water, making everything feel peaceful and calm. Monet painted this scene, along with many others, because he wanted to capture the way nature's beauty changes with light and weather. He was really interested in how light could transform the way things look. Monet felt very connected to his garden in Giverny, which had the well-known water lily pond and Japanese bridge. He actually designed and took care of the garden himself, and it gave him lots of ideas for his paintings.

I chose this image because the person in the painting appears to be in distress. In my collection, I emphasize helping others and caring for them without hesitation. Seeing this person without help makes me feel uneasy.

In this painting the artist uses chiaroscuro which makes the scene very intense. It’s also very dynamic everything looks like it’s moving and full of lots of energy. I believe this is figurative art by the way the people are set up in this painting I feel like artist was really putting effort into this painting and even though there’s some dark some spots this painting is still high key because it’s still showing some type of brightness's.
