A Gantt chart gives managers and workers a high-level overview of the project tasks they must complete, along with a timetable to finish their work. The chart helps you monitor the project’s progress by showing how tasks relate to each other.

The Gantt chart in fact only partially reflects the triple constraint of project management (time, cost and scope), as it focuses mainly on process management (time).
 although it is possible to depict the relationships inherent in project activities through project management software, if there are too many relationships, a cluttered line diagram will make the Gantt chart more difficult to read.
set up can be time consuming
Difficult to refresh frequently, when in the process of delivering a project, things can constantly change.

-A Project flow diagram is a visual aid which assist manger in understanding and setting procedure when managing the project. The diagram shows steps taken over the course of the project life cycle.

Negatives: 
1. Alterations to diagram 
-Once a flowchart is done, any problem that arises can be traced back to the main issue, however the problem lies when it is time to make changes to that point. More likely than not, the points following will have to be changed and thus a whole new diagram is required. Wasting time and money.

2. Complex ideas may cause messy diagrams 
- Once an issue is complex and requires many measures to satisfy, the branches of each point just spreads out further and further, hence it can be quite confusing at first glance until you slowly read it in detail.

3. Making of another diagram is hard
- A flowchart is full of shapes and weird lines, which is to assist in drawing connections from the brain to the paper as quick as possible. The issue with that is that it is hard to replicate and in a professional context.
