Then, we explain the rules:

For the basic Dobble game, reveal one card, then another. Whoever spots the symbol in common on both cards claims the first card, then another card is revealed for players to search, and so on. Whoever has collected the most cards when the deck runs out wins!

The game can be cooperative, as well as competitive, as the team who has the most cards in less time can be rewarded.

It could be adapted to a learning situation, in which they have to accomplish different challenges. We can design a virtual learning environment (powerpoint) in which the students have to reach milestones in order to reach a common goal and one of them is Dobble to practise vocabulary.
