What is ECAY ?

Empower Communities Around You (ECAY) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the uplifting of marginalized youth through empowerment and provision of vigorous mentorship. ECAY has one goal and that is to help reduce the stress on parents and help their children academically. Everyone knows it can be hard when there are more than one or two children starting school. ECAY does its best to bring families together and take that back-to-school season stress away. We invite you to donate and lend your support to local families and school district.

The programs goal is to introduce financial literacy to young children and promote positive habits with it. With access to the right knowledge, the youth will be able to gain their own abilities and confidence to accomplish their financial goals in the future.

Through the workshops this program offers children will learn how to save their money and budget it as well.

There are many reasons as to why this organization can be necessary for many people. For example, empowering a community as a whole helps the people come together more. In addition, it makes people who live in that community feel like they are more at home. The people around them start to feel like family which gives them a reason to stay. In addition, it's always easier to face struggles as a community when you are more united as a whole. This organization helps the youth a tremendous amount as well. By doing this, it gives the future generations a head start as to what they will have to deal with in the years to come.

The ECAY helps young children acquire budgeting, savings and money management skills. As a future teacher, this improves my future students' knowledge with basic things to help them succeed. My job as a teacher will be to help them educationally, but this organization is pushing them to learn about their financial needs. In addition, this organization is helping the youth learn their potential and realize that they can go much further than they think. Eventually, I will be a part of a community. Therefore, I would want my community to be united and come together as a whole. In addition, I would want the youth of my community to be well educated and be able to know certain things that kids their age do not even comprehend. This would increase the social and economic development of my community in many different ways. This all connects to me in the way that I will be an educator and I will want my future students to be as highly educated as they can be. Whether that is with my help or the help of an organization like this one, we all want the future generation to succeed in every way possible.
