A museum shows a short film to visitors before they enter an exhibit, and 45 people can view the film at one time. The film is shown every half hour. The museum is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. How many people can see the film in 1 day?

What I did was write down the times from 9:00 to 5:00 because that is how long they were open then I counted them and got 16 shows and then I did 45*16 for how many people and got 720 people.

To start the problem I figured out 320 how many times 30 minutes were in the time frame the museum was open and that was 16 times so the means the show is showed 16 times if 45 people can fit and the question wants to know how many people can watch the short film you multiply 45 by 16 and the product of that is 720 so that means the the answer of 45*16=720 so 720 people can see the short film.

45 people are allowed to see the show at once. The show pays every half hour. The theater is open 9:00 to 5:00. That means the theater is open 8 hours per day. The show pays every HALF hour so I did 8 x 2= 16. So the show plays 16 times a day. 45 people can see the show at once. So I did 45 x 16= 720. 720 people can see the show in one day. - Logan Forge #8
3/8/2017
