Shutter Speed Questions.

The make the camera shutter priority, I had to push the Botton no the left side dial and move the dial to the S portion. Than, I moved the scroller on the right side near the eye piece to raise and lower the shutter speed.

The shutter speed determines the amount of light entering the camera. When the shutter speed is small, a lot of light comes into the camera and makes the picture bright. When the shutter speed is fast, not enough light can come in which makes the picture dark. The times you would want to priorities shutter speed would be at night when its dark or in the day when there is a lot of light. At night you would lower it to increase the light in take. In the day you would increase it to lessen the light in take.
