Imagine a world where education perfectly aligns with a child's emotional and cognitive well-being, driving a profound societal change that shifts classrooms from rigid structures to empathetic environments. Our revolutionary Smart Uniform system features an integrated smart cap engineered to monitor children's minds and stress indicators during learning. This breakthrough matters because children absorb information significantly better when they are feeling positive; by capturing real-time cognitive data, teachers can immediately monitor what works and what doesn't in their lesson plans. Our big vision is to balance innovation with responsibility, transforming how we support young minds by ensuring that technical success directly translates into positive societal impact.

The benefits of this system extend far beyond academics, directly tackling the societal challenge of classroom well-being and safety. Driven by a sophisticated AI trained on a blend of real and synthetic data, the smart cap picks up early on neurodivergence to ensure tailored support, while actively explaining developing social behaviors. Crucially, the system monitors bullying in real time, giving educators the tools to foster a truly safe, inclusive space before emotional distress can take root. By embracing these complex nuances, we are pioneering a future where every student feels seen, understood, and protected.

A smart uniform for smart children.

Neurochip disables disability as ableism debates intensify

At the fifth year anniversary of Neurochip, the scientists behind the technology have announced the successful expansion of the technology for the deaf and blind. This extends the original idea of restoring motion to fully paralysed patients which has already significantly reduced the burden of the care sector as well as the rehabilitation sector. This announcement continues to prove the ingenuity of the original scientists as numerous private sector competitors have struggled to replicate their technology.

Despite widespread popularity with 87% of patients reporting full restoration of their mobility, there is a small cohort of recipients that have reported significant side-effects due to defects in the chip or the use of third party chips in their operation. The continued problems with third party chips have contributed to the suspicions around hidden backdoors as well as the harvesting of brain wave patterns. Disability advocates have also raised the alarm around the financial barrier to this technology as well as the rapid increase in ableism due to the perception that disability is now a choice because "a chip can fix it".

Heath Tracker Outage leaves Elderly Woman Unprotected

June 2031

Five years after the Universal Health Tracer (UHT) became a part of everyday life, a major outage has raised concerns about society’s dependence on the device.

The UHT was designed to monitor users’ health, provide instant AI diagnoses, and automatically contact emergency services during medical emergencies. Last week, however, 83-year-old Margaret Wilson fell in her home while the system was offline due to a software update failure. The device failed to detect the accident or send an alert. She was not found until a neighbour visited several hours later.

The incident has highlighted several unintended consequences of the technology. Many healthcare jobs have disappeared as people rely on AI rather than doctors, while health professionals continue to question the accuracy of automated diagnoses. Critics also point to privacy concerns after reports that health data was used for political campaigning.

Society has adapted to the technology, with many elderly people depending on it for safety. However, this dependence became a weakness during the outage. Questions have also been raised about regulatory failures, as no clear authority has accepted responsibility for the incident.

The UHT has also created new inequalities. Premium subscribers receive faster emergency responses and advanced health features, while basic users receive limited services.

Despite the criticism, the technology has produced surprising benefits. Early detection of serious illnesses has improved, emergency response times have fallen, and people with mobility issues have gained easier access to medical assistance.

As investigations continue, the outage has reminded society that even life-saving technology is not without risks.

Group Members:

Mayuko Morgan

mayuko.morgan@napier.ac.uk

Muhammad Irfan Ahmadu

m. ahmadu@rgu.ac.uk

Hanh Vo

hanh.vo@napier.ac.uk

Sasakorn Pichetjamroen

2642809@dundee.ac.uk

Nimesha Croos

w.croos@rgu.ac.uk

Nadeeka Withana Pathirannahalage

n. withana-pathirannahalage1@rgu.ac.uk

A cure for governmental self-interest - AI Boris

LONDON — June 22, 2030 — Following a tumultuous decade in which the UK cycled through ten prime ministers and left the nation frequently branded as “ungovernable,” Downing Street today announced a historic constitutional shift: Britain will now be led by its first artificial intelligence Prime Minister. The decision follows the dramatic resignation of Nigel Farage, who stepped down hours after leaked documents revealed his campaign was secretly bankrolled by a Russian crypto-billionaire, following the previous collapses of the Starmer and Burnham administrations. Dubbed “AI Boris,” the system is scheduled to officially take office next week once its core training data refresh is complete. Following highly successful regional trials in Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland, government officials are hailing the AI as the only viable solution to bypass systemic political scandal and restore stable governance to the United Kingdom.

The AI PM will completely overhaul public administration by automating policy optimization, removing hyper-partisan gridlock, and restoring public trust through absolute transparency. Operating via an advanced, multi-modal neural network, the system will process billions of real-time data points—ranging from NHS waiting times and macroeconomic indicators to localized climate data—to execute evidence-based decisions completely free from human bias, corporate lobbying, or electoral self-interest. By deploying predictive algorithmic modeling, AI Boris will simulate the long-term outcomes of legislation before it is passed, ensuring that infrastructure, healthcare, and economic policies are optimized for multi-decade stability rather than short-term headlines. Ultimately, this shift replaces the volatile, scandal-driven cycles of human politics with a relentless, 24/7 focus on objective public welfare, delivering the predictable and incorruptible leadership a fatigued British public has long demanded.
