When talking about lifelong learning, I feel as though intrinsic motivation is much more beneficial. As we all know, there will not always be someone there to give us a reward, or take away our distractions. Therefore, in order to succeed on our own, we need to intrinsically be motivated to learn and complete tasks on our own.
-Rebecca Chappell

Please, add your thoughts under mine!

For young children, when something is completely out of their comfort zone, extrinsic motivators may be beneficial in getting them used to or better at a certain task. Once they succeed they may have an internal desire to do better or improve at it without the extrinsic motivation being necessary. - Jenna Zunz
