I would use a mix of the flipped classroom and a la carte model in my class. I would direct gifted students to online classes and I would use the flipped classroom model for all of them. I don't think I could implement the individula rotation model without first getting some experience with other blended learning models.

I think that for my students the flipped classroom model would be the model they would benefit the most from.
The others also seem interesting but I don't think would work with young learners (1st and 2nd graders learning english).

After analysing the different models, I believe that the most appropriate will be a mixture of the different concepts presented here. Differentiating strategies, modes of action, creating appealing materials, integrating learning are a daily challenge. Since my target audience is so diverse, adapting the materials is not always easy in order to motivate them again to the importance of learning, of knowledge and to provide them with tools that allow them to go further.

What I'm working with at the moment is delivering the same session, at the same time for both learners who are physically in class and those who are online, while adapting the work (hands-on work like photography, filming etc) the online learners can work on.

I also upload videos and presentations that both set of students can use at their own pace when at home.

So far, this method was the most fruitful.

The flipped classroom model seems more appropriate for my students. The flipped classroom is not just about teaching using a video, it can be used for scaffolding: teachers can assign study material and ask students to do online activities which can be analyzed so that the teacher can recognize problematic areas and offer further explanation or practice and then give students more difficult and complex tasks in class

After going through the four different types of blended learning, taking my students profiles and my learning environment into consideration, I believe, at this stage my students would benefit more with the approach of a flipped classroom model in the blended learning scenario. I am quite sure that I will use the Flipped classroom model. It is the best way of preparing content for my students and let them be more independant in their learning process. The 10th class will need less help as they can work better at their own pace and will know whom to ask for help or collaborate alot along the way. The 7th class will need a different approach and I there will need to focus on shorter videos and more presence in videoconferences for questions.

As I mentioned before, I will definitely try flipped classroom. I think it will be best for my students (10-14 years of age). They will be able to watch the video at home (especially grammar lessons) and then do tasks in class. The weaker students will get the chance to watch the video more than once if they need it and stronger students will not have to listen to the same things over and over again and they won't be bored in class.

I'd use the flipped classroom model because in my case, in a 4th grade. is the easiest. My students are able to watch to a 5-6 minutes video at home in completely autonomy and so the can discuss about it. My context - private high school, English Language and Literature and Language Acquisition.
After looking at all the different models, I think that I have a better understanding of the choices, and there are many. I think that I would start with the flipped classroom. One of the points that the video made is that we should start with one difficult point, and this makes the most sense to me!
So here are the reasons:
1. I think that this is the closest to where I am as an educator. To successfully implement blended learning, you have to maek a lot of changes, and I think that small steps are smart steps in changing practice over time.
2. I think that this is also what my students woudl be ready for. This year has prepared them for more autonomy in some ways, but I think that they still need to feel that there is some continuity to what they have done - again, small steps lead to big change that is successful.

Thinking about a brief summary of the approach that I would like to use in the blended learning scenario could be the exploration of the Europeana platform after an initial motivation from an escape room (with only 2 or 3 questions) based on a project that we are developing . I would definitely use the Flipped Classroom. I think it's adequate for my students and it can easily be understood by them. Apart from this it gives us class time for using other strategies which can benefit the students' learning. I used it a couple of times and in our class time we did some group work and also did some experiments. I checked their knowledge through questionnaires and I noticed they learned what was supposed for them to learn. Apart from doing one's material there are lots of educational resources in the Internet that we can use.

The individual rotation model is the one that best suits my classes from the point of view that we deal with many interrelated topics, but it does not matter which one comes first, so students can rotate through the teachings with a bit of flexibility to be the ones who decide which itinerary they prefer to do, as long as they finish all the modules.

I think that for my students the model that would work better would be the Flipped Classroom as they are still very young to be submitted to the other models that require much autonomy. I am teaching physics to 16-18 year students and would like to design a Blended Learning trajectory in collaboration with my colleagues of other STEM courses (biology, chemistry and mathematics). The Flipped Classroom is the most obvious change to the traditional teaching style, but I am sure the students would also benefit from adding a blend with the Flex Model and a little bit of the Self-Blended Learning. I am a Physical Chemistry teacher. My students are 16-18 years old, most of them are very autonomous and have a reliable internet connection. Since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, and because even in face-to-face teaching we are no longer able to use the school laboratories, I have used the Flipped Classroom model for laboratory activities.

I am not sure yet, if I will use flipped classroom or flex model yet. I will probably use the later, just to test myself since I hadn't heard of this method before. I am a vocational teacher (administration), and I am going to teach my students how to create a sucessful CV, and how a CV screening is carried out. So first, I am going to provide my students with different videos, articles, and tools that can be used to create a succesful CV, and how a professional screening should be carried out. They can watch, read, use them all, or just some of them, according to their needs, and previous knowledge on the subject. Then, they will have to use one or several of these tools online to create their CV, answering a simulated job ad. During this time, they can contact me personally through video conference, or in class, should they have questions they need to address me. Finally, in class, and with all CVs in hand, (or on-screen should it be an interactive CV or video CV) they will work in groups to discuss which are the best CVs, which ones they would select, and why. And to conclude this activity, they will present their conclusions to the rest of the class, and see if all they agree, or not, and why. The whole thing can be done both online or face-to-face, though the first part is designed to be made online and the final part is designed to be made face-to-face.

I have been using Flipped Classroom mostly, since, in my opinion, provides the reasonable amount of individual + controlled learning.
I shall provide an example. I teach literature. When approaching the dramatic genre, I provide theoretical information regarding the evolution of theatre and theatrical performance. Then, I send them EdPuzzle videos (referring to theoretical literary notions) with comprehension tasks attached. After that, I provide a video or audio file with the performance of the play to be studied, and an Interactive Worksheet with plot lines to be arranged in the chronological order of events, to check their understanding.
Finally, we do the text analysis together in the classroom, we debate, discuss, do characterisations, etc.

Flipped classroom is more suitable for younger students who still need the guidance of the teacher as they are not completely autonomus. You may even implement a flipped classroom limiting the use of IT which, in some cases, is very difficult as not all the students have technolgical devices.

With my younger students, I have been trying to implement the blended learning model but with a 50-50 success rate as they still don't look at this learning strategy seriously. Many of my students still think that home must have nothing to do with school so they just unplug when they are there. The rotation model seems like a good idea especially when I have different level groups in the same class.
With my older students, the flipped learning model works quite effectively. Besides, they collaborate and help each other when they have difficulties. I would like to implement the self-blend model with them but for that, I will have to find the right course online.
I also use the project-based learning model to help them develop other skills.

I find the “Individual rotation” model very difficult to apply, because of the stiff timetables and curriculum directions imposed by the Educational System of my country.

My field is “Information Technology(IT) and Computer Science(CS)” which is activity oriented as it requires students to develop skills more than to acquire knowledge.

So a mix of “flipped classroom” and “flex” models is more appropriate, because the activities involve exploration, experimentation, “drill and practice”, project creation and collaboration.

My plan is to have the more collaborative activities take place in the classroom where live communication between peers, as well as the teacher, is more vivid and functional. I would leave the solo activities(practice and project) to take place at a distance, because they can be more flexible in terms of time and content and give students the opportunity to work at their own pace and on a subject of their choice. During that time students can ask the teacher for support using the appropriate technological tools(Course Management Systems, e-mail, teleconferencing etc).

As a final note, I think that the “Self-blend” model is also appropriate for teaching IT and CS subjects, especially in the field of programming and has proven itself by the popularity of the numerous platforms that exist for this purpose(“code.org” for example). But since my scenario will be about IT and my students are not old enough, I will not adopt it.

What interested me more is the gìfact that all these models could be, in some way, enacted both online and in school/institution (provided there are the needed infrastructures).
This opens a lot of possibilities, because in a situation like the one we're living, it is possible to design autonomous/asynchronous activities, that could take place at home, in a lab, in a library, in a open space, in a classroom.
This is perfect in an uncertain situation, where periods of lockdown and freedom are outside of our control.
In my context of adult education, all four models and their combinations are available and make possible to everyone to follow her own pace, timing, passion.
In a school context, I'd like to see these models applied to develop autonomy BEFORE the passage to college/university: in my opinion the fact that the majority of learning and home activities are guided by teachers it's one of the main reasons for failure in University studies and at work, where a greater ability of self-direction and time management is essential.

Based on these considerations, I think that for my activities a blend of station models could be the best solution: if me and my colleagues could return to face-to-face interactions, we could make it both in presence and online, sequentially or asynchronously, while if we'll need to continue totally online, this could give us the possibility of working in smaller groups, with personalized coaching and peer coaching.

Flipped classroom model is suitable for my students, they are lower secondary students. They need firm structures and the "feeling" of school education. If we use flipped classes they do not have to learn and develop a lot of new skills, to acquire the subject itself. They are familiar with this model (watching videos to learn something). My students are 7-8 years old. So I think I'll blend Flipped classroom model and the elements of Individual rotation model.
Here is it in practice (approximately):
1) Students watch my video or presentation with lesson topic at home.

I will use flex model because I have older students (16 years old). I'll challenge them to adapt a classic play (by an author of the XIXth century) into a comics. I will ask them to watch a film, to learn how to use CANVAS and to decide together how they will organize in a coherent way each piece/page of the comics.
So they will have to talk in small groups, they will have to ask for my help maybe because of the CANVAS or to understand/interpret a part of the text... The product of their work will be published in my school site as a resource for students with difficulties in reading, as comics is based on image and text.

Considering the different blended learning models we have seen, my students’ learning profile and the Covid-19 pandemic times we are living, one that seems more appealing is the flipped classroom model. I am aware it can be quite a challenge for some of my students, but I am relying on the most autonomous ones to lead the way to successful learning activities that are going to be prepared on the Learning Designer tool (curious to work with it). It’s an opportunity to develop more collaborative work and promote autonomy. I must admit that the self-blend model is also appealing. A gradual return to school and social normality is planned and expected very soon. Taking this into account, the flipped classroom model seems more appropriate for my students (15-18 years old) and the course I teach (mathematics). Since mathematics are, the same time, evaluated as significantly important and difficult by students, parents, teachers and the State itself, I would suggest an activation of the flipped class model in order the students to develop both the individual and the group and collaborative aspects of learning, while working at home (on line individual or group activities with, predefined by the teacher, degrees of freedom) and in class (presenting the processed material and receiving the necessary feedback or guided instruction by the teacher on individual or/and group basis, while being involved in practice and higher level activities). For implementing this task, I intent to use one of the digital classroom platforms (e-class, the other is e-me), the Ministry of Education provides for free to all the levels of education. All my students have their personal code and, therefore, access to that advanced and integrated system of managing electronical courses. I would use flipped classroom model. For example, students would watch, at home, a short video lecture for homework while taking notes and completing practice examples that are embedded into the video. Then back in class, we would work together to review those concepts, share and peer review our ideas, evaluate the students' understanding, and address difficulties or common misconceptions. My students (12 to 16 years old) are far from being able to follow the classes fully at a distance. Their ability to take responsibility for their learning is low. Only a small portion are committed with the tasks they suppose to do and the motivation needed on the on line learning. My current students are not mature enough to carry on their learning on their own and they are not ready for the demands of an independent learning. Face to face interaction and problem solving during class time is a must. So the Flipped Classroom approach is the ideal for my students

I think that Flipped Classroom is the best option for my students. I will try to make it work although not all of them have digital devices at home. It will be a great occasion for them to actively become more independent and self motivated as well. I think that flipped classroom would be perfect for my preschool students at age of 5 to 5,5. It is a model that we use mostly when we are in our classroom and i think that it helps them and gives them the idea of communicating. Additionally to this i would choose to upload content in our web platform (e-me.edu.gr) such as games and additional material for them to exercise or suggest them watch a video that would be relevant to an upcoming lesson or action.

In my case I would rather try the flipped classroom model, maybe with some elements of the rotation model. I like the idea of peer teaching, when students who are high achievers help their peers to increase understanding. I am still considering the best way to start experimentation with blended learning! In the past I could experiment both the flipped classroom and the Flex model (maybe without knowing the theory).
In the present I have to take into account some more limits:
when at home, not all students complete the given learning activities because of their different levels of motivation;
when at school, group working and laboratories are stricly limited by the Covid-19 prevention rules.
Fortunately my school has a good digital learning environment.
Then the best solution may be to organize cooperative learning activities at home with digital labs and use the time in school for guided individual practice and for class discussions about core contents, or to present the group works outcomes.
Go-Lab will help as it always did.

I am thinking of working backwords and first rule out models that won't likely work in my case. Keeping that in mind,i'd probably eliminate flex model since it's addressing more to older secondary school students who have developed skills of self-directed learning and flexibility. On the other hand, ill probably rely more on flipped classroom model. I would try all kinds of blended learning. But I think the first time, I will try flipped classroom, which still seems closer to my way of teaching. I would propose as a topic the study of a literary text, that is why I will ask the students to read the text at home and to watch the video materials that I have previously prepared. Then in class, we will discuss in teams about the literary text, characters, events, main ideas, conflicts. I think that all these models are valid and might work single-handedly or combined in the most various forms, even for one same class. I believe it depends not only on the type of students (age, grade, area of studies, achievement..) but also on the subject/content we want to "deliver".

Considering the characteristics of my students, their degree of autonomy and the work we developed during the period of time students were away from school I think we could try the flipped classroom model. Students are being given personal computers by the ME and maybe soon they will have the necessary means to bet on online resources. But I think I would have to adapt the model because I don't think my students have the time to do much work at home. They have many subjects, spend much time at school and arrive home late. My biggest concern is the organization of the space in the classroom because it will be difficult to organize the room in a different way as it is the room of the class and the other teacher s have to work there too. I have to consider all the rules that Covid 19 has imposed on us. I also sympathize with the individual rotation model but it would be even more challenging in terms of space organization.

I believe that the Flipped Classroom Model would be the easiest to implement at the moment and a good way to start with BL approaches. Students during the pandemic and extended school closures have become familiar with the use of technology for learning purposes and are ready to incorporate it in their everyday routine. Of course, it's natural that they might object at first as they show signs of "online fatigue" but at least they know what to do and how to do it.
I also find the Station Rotation Model very intriguing but, as much as I am triggered to try it, I believe that it would be really difficult under current circumstances, namely the lack of space and organization in greek schools as well as the mindset changes required in order to successfully go through with such a project.

I think that any blended learning model could be very effective and successful if you consider the students with their times, paces, skills and their real context (school, family, social environment) for planning a personalized learning program. The flexibility must inspire our learning activity. You have to try to give your students a concrete, rich and complete educational experience. I would like to try to use all the different types of blended learning according to the different situations and students.

I think for now the flipped classroom would be the best one to implement with any type of success. I will probably have to do what was mentioned in the video: if students don't watch the videos at home, they'll watch them in class while I help others. I might try the flipped classroom, although I just found out I used Self-blend/à la carte when I assembled a "recovery plan" completely online to one of my students. I've haven't thought about this until right now, but I guess I could do the same to foster advanced students, as well. I like the part that they might bring their aquired knowledge to the classroom and teach their classmates. I know from experience that attention hits the roof when students are listening to their peers.

I'm already using Flipped Classroom during distance learning, on synchronous and asynchronous activities. I´m also thinking of using Flex ou Self-flex model in the Initial Vocational Training. This year students are not allowed to train on organisations, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so students will develop specific projects, different for each student. On the first phase, they will attend an online course on the specific area, and then they will develop their own programming project.

I would go with the Individual rotation model because I am working with high school students who have already chosen their educative direction and they do not share the same interest in the lessons. I think it would be best to start with the flipped model in my case. I would assign students content material to watch beforehand and some exercises. For the beginning, a common flipped classroom concept would suit my needs and wants, since the context I am teaching in is far from familiar with this type of learning. Accordingly, I believe that a flipped classroom would be the most smooth transition.
