         <description><![CDATA[<div>Scientific research is showing that mindful breathing—paying attention to your breath and learning how to manipulate it—is one of the most effective ways to lower everyday stress levels and improve a variety of health factors ranging from mood to metabolism.  One outcome is improving happiness and emotional stability.  Below is a simple method you can employ anytime to increase your health, refocus your energy and give yourself a needed mood boost.<br><br></div><div><strong>S.T.O.P.</strong></div><div><strong>S </strong>- Stop, take a pause</div><div><strong>T</strong> - Take a deep breath and relax (for a minimum of three breath cycles)</div><div><strong>O</strong> - Observe the present moment: What do I notice? Where is my breath? How does my body feel? What am I saying in my mind? What is one way I can respond to myself with compassion and kindness?</div><div><strong>P</strong> - Proceed. Where was my attention before S.T.O.P? Do I want to continue or attend to something else?</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
