What I would like to learn in computer skills lab this year
is how to make typing faster, and how to type faster. My strengths and weaknesses
are typing, and typing the wrong things. The way I use technology in my spare
time is by getting on ROBLOX, getting on gaggle, and getting on YouTube. My favorite
websites are ROBLOX, YouTube, spotify, and gaggle. The technology I use is my Xbox

This semester in my computer enrichment I want to learn how to type on my computer without looking at it . During this semester I would also like to learn how to put a video into a powerpoint. In one of my previous experiences I tried to type without looking and I almost spelled a whole word without looking. One of my strengths when using technology is I can make a power point with pictures, special effects when the slide changes , and adding sound affects. In my spare time I would use technology by going on my cell phone, and doing things on there, I would go on my computer and go on some websites, or I would listen to music on any device that I have. My name is Dai'Jah Dixon and what I want to learn in this computer skills lab this year is how to become better at typing and also learn how to type faster. I also want to learn how to type without looking by being able to recognize the keys. My strength when typing in technology is being on social media and texting . This year in the Computer Lab i would like to learn more about the workings or like the inside of the computer as well as learning how to type just a little bit faster. My strengths with technology i would say is understanding how it works and taking care of it as i built my computer last year and have tried to take care of it as best as i can. My weaknesses with technology I would say is coding simply because I have tried it a few times and am pretty bad at it. The way I use technology in my spare times is playing video games with my friends (they know who they are) and also making and editing youtube videos. I would like to learn more about coding, although I doubt we will. I have a passionate love for coding Python and I would like to be able to learn about it in computer class as well.

My strengths in computer is typing and coding, I find I type pretty quickly and I can code decently. Again, I love coding and I'd say I type fast for an eighth grader. However, my weakness is staring at my computer to type. It's a habit I have but I always can only type fast and accurate when I stare at my computer.

I normally start making quick edits, go online onto social-medias, or play video games with a few of my friends (they know who they are.)

My favorite website of all time is youtube.com. I always go straight to YouTube when I either need a quick tutorial or I need a quick laugh.

I use my phone and my laptop pretty equally, so I'd say it's a tie. Although I do most of everything I've listed on my laptop, and I basically live on my laptop. I edit, code, search, post, and so on on my computer.

I want to be able to know the more complex things you can do with Google Slides, Docs, etc. This will greatly improve my skills when it comes to certain school projects as there will be things I would be able to do that I am unable to do now. I believe my main strength when it comes to technology is that I have adapted to using most forms of technology usually everyday (even I'll admit I have an addiction to technology). I use my phone, my computer, and my console often enough to where I can feel comfortable using a new piece of technology for the first time and be able to pick up on what it can do relatively easily. My weaknesses when it comes to technology are that I am not very amazing at typing (I mostly type with my index fingers and can only get around 40 words per minute). Also that I'm not very skilled when it comes to what a computer is made out of, I know some of the basic parts like Graphic Cards, Motherboards, Hard Drives and some others, but I don't understand the complex parts and abilities of some of the computer parts. Most of what I use technology for is gaming and watching Youtube, I play Madden and NBA 2K on my Playstation 4 all the time, I have at least 400 hours put into all my games on Steam including 200 on one game alone, and on my phone I have a large number of games and watch Youtube a ton as well as chat with some friends using Hangouts. Some of my favorite websites to go on are Youtube, Roblox(usually to play with friends), and Gmail. Out of all of the technology that I have, I have a strong belief that my phone is the one I use the most, followed by my computer, and then by my Playstation 4.

I would like to learn how to make my typing faster, and more accurately. Usually, a problem I often face when using technology is misspelling words because of how fast i type, or because since I am not used to using computers or typing on a keyboard I miss the letters which ends up in the misspelling. In my rare moments of free time, I tend to use technology by using these specific applications to pass the time, I play games that require patience and large amount of skill, but most of the time im on youtube, or roblox playing with my friends in real life as we share time together in game servers. I actually have two technical devices, my ipad and my phone. My ipad I use more often than my phone, due to the screen length and battery durablilty, though i take my phone when im going to the store or to gatherings my friends have invited me too, since it is portable. I used to have a laptop, but it soon broke, and thats normally what i used to use which gave me these typing advances. I hope this class will teach me how to fix my typing problems.

I’d say that the main subjects I’m looking forward to learning are typing efficiency, though not necessarily speed. Also I’m looking forward to more computer usage efficiency.

My strengths in technology are computer usage (I know if a computer is not functioning correctly, fooling with settings can fix it. Also if a virus is currently taking place, and you can’t exit it out, I know how to do that.) My weaknesses are medium speed typing, and code. (But I believe that won’t be needed here.)

I use technology in my spare time for music (You’ve got to bust out those rock classics), and on my tablet I read comics. (But i also watch channel TV).

My favorite websites are Soundcloud.com and Scratch.mit.edu (Even though I don’t browse often. I visit these websites once every 2 weeks or so.)

Mostly i'm slow at typing but very large paragraphs confuse me like social studies all those large paragraphs but i cant type big paragraphs that easy either but my strength is when its sentences that are almost as easy to type but its always hard for me to type on all of the devices i go to even if it is a large device with easy typing its still hard for me to type but as i got older i started to type more faster and i notice my typing was getting faster then by 6th grade i could type fast but still slow in times the computers we have at our house the screens are very slow from the router being only in my room but i only use the computer in certain times for homework mostly, but i like to use computer a lot with my following website that is allowed on my favorite is steam but other games too you can be addicted to a single game in your life to trade everything else in the world for that, if you would to either trade your life for a game or a family member what would you even do then? some children are addicted to games that there parents don't want them to play but they never want to get off, the games people always don't like are mostly the games that nobody likes either like Xbox games or computer games that can be addicting to play to game apps in the store that are free and expensive but i did not like to type big paragraphs and always get a f on other grades but now i its my almost my other strength.

In computer skills lab this year, I would like to learn how to type properly and make a better presentation that isn't very distracting. Some of my strengths are figuring sites and shortcuts out. My weaknesses are not typing correctly, making a presentation too distracting, and not knowing how to get to a specific place on a site. In my spare time, I use technology to relax. I listen to music, complete assignments, and make google forms. If I have any questions about whats going on in the world, or there's something I can't explain or answer (like a question), I use the internet to get my answer. What I think and what I’ve heard about computer skills lab this year is that we will learn a lot about typing and other computer skills. Although, all I have really heard about this class is typing so that is what I expect we learn about this year in Computer skills. What I want to learn in computer class is more skills and more shortcuts to expand my knowledge on computers Some strengths I have in computer skills are mostly typing, but I do not type the way taught with all fingers on the keyboard. What I am also pretty good at on computers is shortcuts, and when I first came to this school, I taught my friend a few that he never knew existed. Some weaknesses I have in computer skills is researching, I can never type the right things so I will find what I’m looking for in either Google or Internet Explorer. As for technology in my spare time, I usually use my cell phone or the computers at the library. I use these to study, research or to play games with myself or with my friends during my free time. Some of my favorite websites have to be Old School Runescapes Online (I can’t think of the link at the moment) and bonk.io which is a game I like to play with my friends time to time. Technology devices that I use the most are computers and most of the time my cell phone to text friends or just play some games on it. I usually use the computer to either play games I can’t play on my phone or to print out something for personal purposes or for a school project.

My strengths are the basics of a computer and I don’t have that many weaknesses but one of them could be homework for sure.

I don’t spend much time on computers at home accept for homework, but what devices I do use are an Ipad that I own and I occasionally will play the Xbox that I have.
