Gallery walk is the one of the tasks that I would like to usse PDC sessions. Because it includes discussing, collaborating, cooperating and sharing ideas. In today's session we had 4 corner activity. By looking at the given sentences, we shared our opinion like agree,disagree or not sure. The second activity was Jigsaw reading. Each group read the the same part of a passage. Then we regrouped and by one by everyone summarize their passage and we learned whole text without reading all of them. The third one was making posters. As a group we planned, made and present the poster with the spesific time timit. In the end we regrouped again and everyone presented his own poster. The last one was creating a plan for a piece of material. We chose a song for it and by following some steps we created a lesson plan. In all the activities my role as a facilitator is managing and observing the participants.

Today our topic was oral skills. We mainly focus on the diologues on the coursebook. We adapted them to more child friendly and meaninful way. In the last part of the session, we prepare a lesson plan by choosing a dialogue from the coursebooks of the 2nd graders. In the warp up process of the lesson plan, we chose a song that inludes target chunks with this way. Then we continued with the drill. In the end of the lesson we used the onion ring that students practice the language pattern. When it comes to relate the onion ring activity with the stages of the PDC cycle we can say that it can be used as a warmer and also with some adaptation we can use them as engage and share

Session 4 was about improving spelling skills. As a warmer we played a game and aim of the game is to learn what kind of activities we do as teachers during our lessons. We played the game as a group it that's why it improves collaboation, cooperation between teachers and it is fun. I want to play this kind of game in one of the PDC session by thinking that participiants also enjoy it. I need to prepare this game one small board or paper is enough. As an engage and share activity consisted 4 stations and we had evolution papers so we evaluated 4 different activities by moving. Then we discussed with our group members and decided which one was our favorite. After choosed that, we adapted it into a activity. The objective of the activity is to give ideas about spelling and share their ideas with each other to develop them as to make it better. As a PDC facilitator I need to prepare some activities and design the class as a group form and preparing evoluation sheets. My role as a facilitator is monitor. I should give clear instructions, observe the participiants and support them whenever they need.

Today in the first session we played 'Telephone Whisper'. It is a game day played as a group. We played with 5 groups and each group made a line. The last people in the each line went to Lise, and she showed a word then we whispered our friend's ear one by one. The person at the beginning of the line wrote the word/s. It was very fun and engaging game. Also I play it with my students in the classroom, my students enjoy a lot. It includes both listening and speaking. In my classroom usually I want my students to touch the picture of what they hear instead of writing because writing is hard for them and they misspell the words many times. For PDC meetings, also I can use it because it represent the importance of listening each other and working as a group. Then we learned differences between stir and settler activities. Of course we can't teach the lesson just with the same mood. For we teach the young learners and they are very energetic, we should allow them to get rid of this energy. So with stirring activities like TPR, songs both we change the mood and let them move. It is also same with the adults, we are bored with the lesson or activities without ups and downs. That's what while planning PDC meetings we need to be careful. Besides, we shouldn't use stirring activities all the time, we should use settler activities that students focus on do them. The point is here to balance of stirring and settler activities. The another thing we mentioned was that 'Brain Breaks'. Everyone needs it after focusing a specific thing for a while. For young learners for the activities needs focusing 10-15 mins, we can give them brain breaks 3-5 mins. It includes meditation, mindfullness, songs and moving around. It gives students to take breath after using their minds actively. As an adults we also need that for example: When I was in highschool my math teacher was telling an anecdote to us when he felt that we bored. So it is practical way of refreshing minds and continue the lesson more focused way. In the he afternoon session we talked about assessment types like peer-assessment, self-assessment, formal assessment, informal assessment. When a person assess himself it is called self assessment. If s/he assesses his/her friend it is called peer assessment. We can use it is more time saving and practical for us because we have crowded classromm. If we give students worksheets, after they are finished they can change their papers and check them. Then we learned about 'Assessment of learning' and 'Assessment for learning'. Assessment of learning is to assess students for a standartised criteria and at the end of the course etc. The other one is to evaluate the process and check what they need more to fill the gap. Lastly we adapt some activities in the exam to more child friendly way. You can see above. We give meaningful reason students to color the rainbow. The baby is sad because the colors of the rainbow is gone. To make it happy, they should color the correct colors. And we supported it attractive and interesting visuals. Then everyone sticked their poster and wrote comments about the adaptations of the activities. We can apply it to the PDC meetings everyone can share their idea and use their creativiy. So they prepare more meaninful and interesting activities for their students. In the classroom management giving clear instructions are very important. To make it stronger I will use 'Traffing lights chart' to be sure that students learn what they will do, who with and how long they will do the activity.I was already using some call-backs durring the lesson but I will use different versions as well I leaned here like 'Class Class, Yes yess' It is catchy and easy for my students' lesson. During the PDC sessions I will use colorful objects to make the groups with this way participants won't be confused. I will also use the colors during lesson in my classroom when my students confused about the activities like jumbled words or puzzless. The colors have power, we should take it into consideration.

Today we talked about Formative Assessment. At the beginning we need to check how much information participants know so I can use Kahoot to learn. Then I can give information beforehand for the participants to have the general knowledge about formative assessment. For the groupworks I can match the participants with the ones know very well and don’t know so they can learn each other. I will support formal assessment with examples so that they clearly understand it.
