The children seemed well prepared for the "visitors". 
Staff were well prepared, lessons planned and resources sourced.

What did not go well: Lessons after the fire drill.  The unexpected interruption to their routine unsettled them.

Any unexpected that took place:  There were a number of non Salwa Primary School staff members around during the inspection.  Many of these people were not known to staff members and children. Behaviour of the students was generally good.
Lessons were well planned and teachers adapted skillfully on day 2 to showcase active learning.
Students were able to talk about their learning.

What did not go well?
Pressure seemed to build and build closer to the inspection. Some pressure and nerves are good as it can allow you to focus but there was a lot of pressure on the first two days.

Any suggestions:
Greater focus on active learning in each subject during each topic over the course of the school year. Example: 'What amazing active learning experience will take place in English during this topic that our students will love?'

Behaviour of the students was overall good. Also good learning behaviour.
Movement around the school was done efficiently. Sufficient resources.

Effective support teachers.

Active learning worked well.

What did not go well?
People seemed quite nervous at the start. Too much new content. Lesson time restrictions. Too many briefings cutting into prep time.

Any Suggestions:
Consistently well resourced. Consistent use of active learning so the children will be familiar with the routine.

Anything unexpected that took place.
