In this photo I can see 4 different frames within the frame. The three most obvious are the painting frame whereas the fourth frame I see is the white section of wall on which the paintings are placed. The rule of thirds is visible as it is used to create symmetry as well as to individualize each painting and center the painting in the middle horizontal third of the frame. In this frame the rule of thirds was used to individualize the sections of the sky and mountains, the mounds of earth surrounding the deposits and one of the deposits itself which can be perceived as the main subject of this photo. In the middle third of the photo you can see two slopes of earth that merge into the water at the bottom. These slopes were most likely used as leading lines to guide your eyes towards both subjects. Also in this part of the image there is a use of framing in which the smaller subject is perceived to have been encompassed within a little cove for itself. The frame choice being portrait helps show the difference in size from the subject and the star he is helping carry on his shoulders as well as the surrounding area he is in. The star has leading lines along the edges that make your eyes follow to the point where the subject is at the bottom. The rule of thirds used in this image was implemented to center the subject in the photo vertically as well as his head intersecting a line of interest (one of the four lines within the rule of thirds grid) as to make you focus more on his facial features than any other part of his framed body.
