There are many special bonds that you can experience, one of them being the bond between you and your pets. You and your pet(s) can have a connection in which you won't ever have with a person. These bonds are very important because they can make you feel like you always have someone/something to talk to even if they are just an animal. I for one have a very special bond with my cat named Hazel. My cat and I do everything together such as she is always sleeping in my room with me and is always waiting for me when I get home. I always get excited to see her after school and after weekends away. She is always there with me no matter what.

Another very important bond is the bonds you have with your family. This image shows this bond because this is my family and it shows that we are all very close and we all just connect in a way that I don't think is possible with other people. Your family usually knows the part of you that no one else ever will and no matter what you are always part of that family and you will always love and support one another no matter what happens.

My interpretation of how "The Grasshopper and the Bell Cricket" applies to our essential question.

The young boy said "Does anyone want a grasshopper?" (Kawabata, 53) any of the children came running up but he continued to ask because he simply wanted someone special to come over so he would soon be able to improve the bond between them. Kiyoko came over by him finally, he then looked past the many other children and gave her the grasshopper. This bond is a very close bond that Kiyoko and Fujio will soon have.

This story has many bonds going on but the major one that I saw was the bond that Brille has with his fellow Comrads. He always protects them and wants the best for them no matter what. "It's not tobacco we want, but you," (Head, 172) He is explaining how all he wants is a good warder for his comrades. He has a family like bond with everyone he is in prison. He treats them like they are his children due to the fact that he is about 10 years older than all of them.

This story has many ways that it connects to the bonds in our essential question. The author says "When I see sychrony and mimicry-- whether it concerns yawning, laughing, dancing, or aping-- I see social connection and bonding. (Waal, 149-151) This quote is saying how whether you are yawning or laughing or dancing etc. you will always have that special bond with whomever you are doing so with. There is always an amazing bond between you and the people you surround yourself with.

1. Some family's go on hiatus when they don't spend time together otherwise, so they can bond and get to know what's going on in eachother's lives.
2. We all have a special type of bond with that one querulous family member who always seems to be mad about something.
3. You might get extolled for getting good grades which will give you something to talk about with your parents and maybe even discover that your bond with them is closer than you think.
4. All family's are amorous towards each other because of that incredible bond that you have with one another.
5. At times our siblings may exasperate us, but we truly love them and know that we can tell them anything.
6. Sometimes people think that someone needs to be extremely benevolent in order to have a bond with them.
7. We all have that one particular histrionic person in our family, but we still love them and always listen to what they have to say because of how close we are.
8. Most families have that one person who quells everyone else in order to make sure no one goes crazy and we always have a very strong bond with that particular person.
9. It isn't a good idea to have a bond with someone when both of you are always very pugnacious when it comes to one another.
10. But no matter what the bond we share with our families is always full of abundant love and care for one another.

The second poem I wrote was a couplet poem about friends. The bonds you have with your friends are very important because they can help you get through all the things in your life that you don't think you can face alone.

The third poem I wrote was a free verse poem about friends. This poem is about how the friends that come into your life will at one point decide to leave and it is best if you let them and not be upset by it.

The friends we all have in life, are always chosen. They come into your life during doubt and struggle and you just build each other up until there is no where to fall down. Of course there are times for a friendship to be over, but just as long as you are able to cherish the time you had together instead of moping around and being upset about it, everything will end up better.
