  • How we write depends on the message we want to send to someone.
    • (Format, relationship, and how we want them to feel).
    • Friend
    1. A friend, informing them of a new relationship
    2. A relationship, comfortable, familiar language
    3. Bringing it up not out of the gate but through connecting the dots through a conversation
    4. Format for this writing will be short phrases or sentences. Going back and forth to get our message across.
    5. Simple information about what our plans are or little social conversations. Quick and easy interactions to get your point across.
    Parent

    1. Bring up relationships with the parents to get their response.
    2. Bring up in a way the parents will believe it’s a good relationship
    3. Introduce them in a calm and careful manner, maybe through simple conversation or bringing them up over a family based activity like dinner or something you are all familiar with
    4. Figure out what is most comfortable for you

    Professor:
    1. An authoritative figure/professor
    2. A respectful, professional relationship, this would call for more formal language and format
    3. That it is the best decision for the person sharing the news, and that it won’t affect your performance in their particular class
    4. The formatting i would choose for this would be something like an email, not paragraph format but more than a few sentences 
    5. I'm not sure why anyone would share this with their professor, but maybe to give them a more detailed look into your life outside of the classroom
    6. Have empathy, ask yourself if certain details are necessary to share or not.

Our main form of communication was through a third-party application that handled scheduling as well as private messaging with employees and managers. An instance where i communicated poorly, was when i completely forgot about a family trip that had been previously planned for months, this put me in an awkward situation where i had to admit my fault and immaturity to my boss and figure out a solution.
