         <description><![CDATA[<div>Educators should work together to update pieces of curriculum through discussion and turn taking in a safe environment free from ridicule or heavy handed dictatorship.&nbsp; Often, teachers know best how to update curriculum, but are not given the opportunity to have a role.&nbsp; Teachers are the ones with the experience and knowledge in the classroom.&nbsp; Teachers should develop their digital learning network to reach out to other educators.&nbsp; Teachers should find Web-based strategies for reaching out to other educators as well.  Teachers must include higher-order thinking and technology to engage and challenge students to higher levels of rigor and relevance.  Ms. Amick mentioned that teachers can consider the outcomes for the unit and then develop a high rigor performance task, such as student created presentations.</div>]]></description>
