My life is all about routines! I love having routines and I feel it makes my every day life so much easier.

Every day, I wake up around 6-7am. I like to wake up early, even on weekends. And as soon as I'm awake, I imidiately eat my breakfast. Which consists porridge with berries, protein shake and my vitamins. Love it! During my breakfast I watch the daily news from TV.

After my breakfast, I pack my lunch and another meal with me, take my school and gym stuff and I head to the gym (around 8am).
Usually I have a lot of stuff with me, but luckily the gym is located right next to my school and from school I have just 10 minutes walking back home. I'm also quite used to carry my "whole life" with me every day, haha.

So, in winter, I always go to school, gym and food market by walking. I have 1,1km to the nearest food market, so it's not far. And if I wanna go to the centrum or somewhere farther, I prefer going by bus, cuz in wintertime it's very cold in Finland. In summertime (or when ever it's not raining, snowing etc. :D ), I usually move around by bicycle or walking.

Around 10 and 13-14 o'clock I eat my meals, which I've packed with me. I eat during the lessons or where ever actually, cuz our lunch time is around 11-12, so before that I've already eaten my lunch. And even if this sounds complicated to you, it's very easy for me, cuz it's all about routines, haha. My meals always consists rise, potatoes or pasta and chicken, fish or minced meat and lot of vegetables.

After school I go home and work with my school assignments and so on. Sometimes I meet up with my friends, but mostly on weekends. We also have a lot of student parties during the week, but I'm not usually participating cuz I start feeling tired before 9pm. :D

Ok, so this is one of the favourite parts of my day! Haha!

Already after 6-7pm, I start to prepare myself for going to sleep and I also pack my things for the next morning. This is because I feel it's easier and much nicer to have everything ready in the morning, so I can take time with my breakfast and morning routines.

Around 8-9pm I eat my supper and drink my evening tea. Oh how I miss my teas from Finland! And after the supper I go to sleep, at the latest at 22. I like to have 8 hours sleep, so I have enough energy for the next day.

My days in Finland are quite food orientated, cuz I'm very precise of the timings for my meals. I could say that eating is my first priority on daily basis, haha! And believe me, it's not difficult at all. I'm so used to carry my food with me, so sometimes I feel it's even more easier than to decide where I'm gonna have my lunch etc.

My days in Madrid have been a little bit different. This has been like a "vacation" from my routines for me. Although, I'm starting to get my routines back one by one, little by little.

In the mornings, I wake up around 7 and I head to the gym. Though, I haven't been doing gym yet that much as in Finland. So there's also mornings when I wake up after 8 and just head straight to school.

Schooldays aren't so long, so I have a lot of time for myself and friends. I meet my friends more and I spend a lot more time out, compared to Finland. But all of this makes the eating part very difficult. I haven't been eating that strictly, but I don't actually mind about that. I have time for that when I get back to Finland. Now I just wanna enjoy and not to stress about anything.

The next picture tells it all.. :)

Change to sustainable

How could I change my daily life and daily choices to more sustainable?

I think in daily basis, I could prefer more local products, but if been honest, I don’t afford to. I’m a student and I live with social benefits and student loan. But if I’d have more money, I would totally buy more local products when going to grocery store or when buying clothes for example.

I could change my eating habits thought and sometimes choose a vegan option instead of meat. I eat meat at least in three meals per day. I eat a lot of vegetables, but I could never be vegan (or vegetarian). I believe it would make my footprint a little bit smaller if I’d prefer more often vegan food. Only thing that is stopping me from doing it, is that I feel that it’s very difficult. I have tried to cook vegan food, but it was so bad, I never tried again. I think I should just be brave and walk in to some vegetarian restaurant and give it a try!

I wrote earlier, that I should go and try vegetarian or vegan food in some restaurant, because I'm eating so much meat in daily basis.

Well.. I didn't go to the restaurant, I cooked vegetarian soup by myself! And damn it was good!! I have to admit, I'm very suprised that I liked it so much, haha. Now I must cook it more often, and maybe replace the meat with some other protein source. Yey! :)

Here's the recipe.. Although in Finnish, but if you're interested, I can translate it to English :)

Conflicts in our daily life

We had an assignment to think and list some tools, which we could use in the future to solve some conflicts. Here's some:

- Listen: I think listening to other person is the best way of avoiding a conflict. And even if we already would have a conflict going on, we might solve it by listening to each other.

- Be neutral but understanding for both sides of the conflict: If I’m outsider of the conflict, I might go and help them to solve it. But I must be neutral and not take anyone’s side, because the conflict might get bigger. Still I must try to understand both sides and make them understand each other.

- Don’t accuse: In a conflict it’s very important to remember that by accusing each other of something, we will not move forward. It’s usually the thing that drives people to conflicts.

- Try to understand other’s opinions and don’t just think yours is the only right one: By arguing about things – it doesn’t take us far. We should always try to understand also other people’s opinions and remember that even if we would think something, we might not always be right. And even sometimes, there might not be right and wrong, or the might be more than one right answer, so let’s keep that in mind.

Peace and love to all of you! <3
