CCD is a problem that causes the hive to have no adult bees, only a queen, honey, and immature bees. 
     Most research has shown that CCD has a few different causes, so the exact reason still hasn’t been solved. Some colonies are declining for different reasons than others. 
     CCD has been a main factor to the bee decline, but beekeepers have also found other reasons why the bee population is declining. Some of these other problems include:
- Pests, for example, the varroa mite, also known as the varroa destructor (below).
- Exposure to pesticides, just under a lethal level
-Pathogens (a bacteria that can cause disease)

Beekeepers noticed that adult bees suddenly started disappearing from their hives, all at the same time. 
     There are multiple problems that could be the cause of CCD, but through many studies, scientists found no common problem that could be the main cause of the disease.
     The beehive decline has been happening for years now, and according to the NPIC, “about 30% of colonies have been lost each winter, but that number dropped to 23% in 2013-14. In 2013, surveyors attributed about 30% of colony losses to CCD, compared to 60% of colony losses in 2008.” This essentially means that before the year 2008, beehive populations dropped 30%  every winter, which is quite a lot. Later on the population was dropped 6% less every winter, but nevertheless, the population is still dropping.

Instead, you can use coffee grounds! Save your used coffee grounds and mix them with compost or soil. It reduces the number of insects in your garden and fertilizes your plants. Try only to use pesticides as a last resort. 

2.  You can plant flowers that attract bees, such as sunflowers, black-eyed susans, asters, and goldenrods.

There's a massive swarm of bees in your town, and they won't go away! What do you do? Well, to start, DO NOT SPRAY THEM with any chemicals or try to shoo them away. It will just make them angry and they will come after you. Instead, you should call a local beekeeper to come and pick them up and lead them back to a hive.
