I'd know good teaching and learning is taking place when the teacher has a good mix of lecturing and activities. Having the students switching what they are doing is important to keeping them engaged. If I see grouped seating, that'll flag me too. And if the teacher has a kind energy and the students are attentive and responsive, I'll know it too.

I think that good teaching and learning is taking place when students have the opportunity to have open discussion and work collaboratively - I think students should be able to express themselves outside of a standard worksheet or essay (I know there is a time and place for that). Good teaching might look like the teacher is the guider of the learning but the student is actually driving it. Variety of activity for engagement

The agenda for the class is clearly displayed on the board. There are are a variety of activities but a lot of routines for students to follow too.
The teacher is constantly floating around the classroom, they don't sit down. Students are collaborating and chatting about course content.
The classroom is arranged in groups that promote collarboration but also allow for the teacher to move freely around the class. Every student should have a clear view of the board.
Students are learning from the teacher, readings, other students, and themselves.
The teacher connects with every student either before or during class

All the students are doing their work in a team and discussing their ideas and thoughts with peers and teacher. The discussion should ne open ended.
