As of recent, more than 33.98 million people in the United States lived under the poverty line. Unfortunately, this number is only increasing. Due to certain issues, not all families are able to bring home a living income to survive off of. This is not always the fault of an individual, but a system surrounding them that has placed barriers and has supressed them along the way. Those with disabilites may not be able to gain certain jobs, which puts them at a great disadvantage. And those without education may not be able to be accepted into many jobs either.

     As well as this, our environment is suffering greatly. Keeping our community and world clean and healthy is now a second thought. Corporations and the government care to keep things clean only when it is brought to their attention or petitioned to them. From small acts like littering, to large-scale acts like oil spills and chemical waste, our environment is in great need of help.

Whether it be monetary support or physical support, Helping Hands will thrive through the generous givings of others. Helping Hands recieves government funding, but it is up to our community members to help us expand.

We will allocate certain amount of funding to three categories: monetary support, food, and education needs.

Most of our physical support/labor will come from volunteers.

We will hold fundraisers and drives throughout the year to garner support for the organization and monetary support.

First off,  those volunteering themselves for labor will be recieving free meals every day that they work. In addition, those who voluneer and meet requirements under our policy will also recieve monetary compensation for their work.

Secondly, Helping Hands provides resources, such as resources for tutoring and general education classes, to those who meet requirements to recieve them.

Helping Hands engages many different parts of the community, and ensures that each part interacts with eachother. Helping Hands reaches out to the poor and under-privileged and provides them with work, monetary support, and meals. Those who are not under that category work to uplift those who are.
