Lamar was drafted to University of Louisville in 2015 one year later winning the 82 Heisman trophy in 2016.

During his time at Louisville he was the first player to gain 3000 yards passing along with 1500 rushing yards.

Despite entering the NFL draft scouts, coaches and many players labeled him as a ''running back" or "wide receiver". Lamar stayed persistent in staying in the quarterback position. He entered the draft with is spot being QB.

32 NFL teams passed on him (including the Ravens) until the 32nd pick Lamar was selected in 2018 by the Baltimore Ravens.

In 2019 year his second starting season he was able to obtain his first NFL MVP as a starter leading the Baltimore ravens to a 14-2 Record in the AFC.

Not too long after Lamar was able to secure himself a 52 million dollar a year deal from the Baltimore Ravens.
