Marissa, Founder and CEO of microTERRA, is currently working in the field with her team. They are at the fish farm in the mornings. The Team is growing Lemna (Duckweed) in the fish wastewater. Lemna is studied as viable plant in removing waste from water to create clean water which leaves the biomass to be processed as protein for fish food. Therefore, sustaining a circular economy. This work relates to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of 2 - Zero Hunger, 6 - Clean Water, and 14- Life Below Water.
