CAUSAS:
En términos generales, la violencia contra la mujer por parte de su cónyuge está sustentada en el mito de la inferioridad del sexo femenino, a su situación de desigualdad en la sociedad, a la dependencia económica, al temor por la vida de sus hijos y la propia.
CONSECUENCIAS:

• Baja autoestima.
• Interiorización del machismo, dependencia del varón y en general de todas las figuras de autoridad.
• Tienen depresión profunda: falta total de esperanza, se sienten sin fuerzas, respuestas emocionales muy limitadas, altos niveles de autocrítica y baja autoestima.
