Puffer fish are found in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans around the coral reefs.

They live in shallow warm waters near the equator in the Sunlight Zone.

Biologists think pufferfish, also known as blowfish, developed their famous “inflatability” because their slow ; somewhat clumsy swimming style makes them vulnerable to predators

I have a Figure 8 puffer that has been doing well. A couple times now in the morning I have found him curled up and appeared to be stuck in a cave or against some other decoration in his tank, but when I moved the thing, he darted off. Is he just sleeping? He seems to be eating fine, and his color is normal, just worried.

He will only sleep on this part of the live rock in a vertical position.

.
