Would this be a utopia or a dystopia?

Utopia: A place, state, or condition that is ideally perfect in respect of politics,
laws, customs, and conditions.

Dystopia: A futuristic, imagined universe in which oppressive societal control and
the illusion of a perfect society are maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control. Dystopias, through an exaggerated, worst-case scenario, make a criticism about a current trend, societal norm, or
political system.

Characteristics of a Dystopian Society
• Propaganda is used to control the citizens of society.
• Information, independent thought, and freedom are restricted.
• A figurehead or concept is worshipped by the citizens of the society.
• Citizens are perceived to be under constant surveillance.
• Citizens have a fear of the outside world.
• Citizens live in a dehumanized state.
• The natural world is banished and distrusted.
• Citizens conform to uniform expectations. What would the climate be like, and how would that impact what grows there? The book mentions Creosote bushes and paloverde trees.

Most clones' brains are damaged at birth and they are treated as animals or oftentimes even worse. This opens the door to look at what has actually been done with cloning, and what potential does cloning have for the future. Science can be integrated into the language arts classroom as students explore the facts on cloning as well as discuss how they think cloning can and should be used.

The natural world is banished and distrusted:
What has earth told us this far? Rocks and fossils teach us of a history only from natural occurrences through cycles; Rock Cycle, water cycle, nutrient cycling. With the current technological advances, how are we as a human species affecting the survival of other species with these advances in science? How will these advances affect our natural resouces? How will our small planet sustain life with changes in climate? Won't this affect the growth of food? What will our food eat?
