My favorite photo out of the eight I chose was the one where she's sitting on the steps looking into the camera with both of her hands down. I like the evenness of the light in this picture and I like how the negative space in the background is all one uniform color and texture.

Were your favorite shots of the natural light or the studio lighting? Why?

My favorite shots were with natural lighting. I like studio lighting because the light is even and you don't have to worry about unflattering shadows, but I prefer natural lighting because I think you can do more with it and being able to use reflectors helps give your photos character.

I liked the studio lighting and I found that the flashing lights with white reflectors behind them on both sides of the red background evened out the light a lot. I liked the way the grey background looked more than the red one just because of my personal preferences, but they both had very helpful lighting setups and were nice looking.

Do you think the reflector helped or hindered the portraits outside? Why or why not?

I think it helped the portraits outside a lot because usually lighting in shadows only lights up half of someone's face and direct sunlight can be harsh-looking, but with the reflectors, more of the subject's face can be it up in shadowy places and in direct sunlight the refractors can spread out and soften light.
