         <description><![CDATA[<div>She was born to two poor farmers and learned all of her skills from them. Joan had a total of three siblings. She became a skilled seamstress and took care of the farm animals. After becoming a skilled warrior, she called an audience with King Henry, and after many days of thought, the king gave her the reigns of the French army at only 17!<br><br>Biggest honor: Nicknamed "The Maid of Orleans" because she led the French army to a victory over the English army at the age of 18.<br><br>She was a killed a year later because of her role in the war.<br>She was made a Roman Catholic saint nearly 500 years later on May 16th, 1620 in Saint Peter's Basilica.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many years after her death, Bishops in Rome started to consider her for sainthood. After the application was accepted, she was beatified by Pope Pius in Saint Peter's Basilica on April 18th, 1909. Then she was canonized in 1920 on May 16th by Pope Benedict and she was chosen to be the Patron saint of soldiers because of her belief and faith and God throughout her life and even in war.  </div>]]></description>
