Class activity: Read-alouds

Do read-alouds often to expose students to new vocabulary words and word patterns. When reading a book, students point out pictures to the new vocabulary word you want to teach them. Once you show the new picture give student a simple definition that is on their level, this will help them understand the word and the usage (WETA Washington, D.C., 2025). Read-alouds meets all levels of students by modeling fluent, expressive reading this will help students develop reading skills on their own (Kathryn Strake, 2025). Read-alouds are great exposer for ELL students. This will introduce ELL students to a wide range of vocabulary that normally they will not encounter on their own. This can help expand their vocabulary skills.

When it comes to supporting students with and without exceptionalities requires thoughtful differentiation instruction, background knowledge to be responsive teaching, and have access to resources. Educators can provide different activities to tailor to their students learning needs. By tailoring to their students learning needs the teacher can tailor her lesson to meet all student's levels of needs in their classroom. By doing this will allow all student to grow and learn at their own pace. This will make sure that students with exceptionalities will receive the support that is in their learning profile and helps promote all learners growing in the classroom. Working and planning with parents will help understand the background of students and learn their needs not seen in the classroom. Having technology in the classroom can help in enhance the inclusive approach to make sure everyone has a way to uses technology to interact with each other and do their classwork.
