In the beginning of the play Macbeth is introduced to us as a man of noble ranking in that he was already 'Thane of Glamis' and a General in the Army. Yet the witches prophecy and the Kings confirmation of such news feed his ambition to desire more(Act 1, scence 3, line 50)(Act 2 scene IV,48-53 ). We identify the form in which his ambition manifested and the impact thereof after he was consumed by it.

"Thou wouldst be great
Art not without ambition, but without
The illness should attend it." (Act 1:5)

These are the words Lady Macbeth said to Macbeth when attempting to manipulate him to commit murder. At this stage she was doubtful and uncertain whether her husband would be able to great lengths to get what he wants.

This is very relevant to the Millennial in Modern society.
Manipulating themselves to the point where they get what they desire, whether it be good or bad.
