Some were so succesful that they became entrepreneurs themselves. But at the same time Anti-Chinese grew more. A legislation aimed at Chinese immigration to the US. The slave rebellion is what has cause the most controversy, even hundreds of years later. I strongly believe against slves and racism, even during those times I wouldn't have owned a slave and would have tried to stop others from getting them too. The woman's rights movement is also important, because it was half of the world population not getting all the benifets that the other half gets. Woman are people too, much like slaves/black people are too. Of the 350 Ndongo people, only 200 survived the trip. During this trip two other ships intercepted and stole 50 or so slaves on the boat. These ships were the White Lion and the Treasurer and the slaves, originally on their way to what today is Veracruz, Mexico, took a new path set for Virginia.
The majority of them were then seized by Governor Sir George Yeardly and the head merchent Abraham Piersey and kept in Jamestown. Upon seeing a school of African people being taught and learning just as fast as a white child, he changed his entire perspective. He quickly became leader of a abolitionist group created by the Pennsylvania Quakers. He wished for all of slavery to be ended, the trading and owning of them. More abolistionist groups were made and helped the movement grow. It was an event that plenty of people have already joined and I wouldn't be fit enough to be useful in the fight. Killing people in a war is something that I could never do. My reaction time is slow, and I would barely even be able to hold the gun let alone shoot it. One bullet could probobly stop me in my tracks and end me. The thought of going to war makes me uncomfortable and holding a musket a tenth of my weight would slow me down and exhaust me. This prison was in Fort Monroe, and he lived 2 years total in the place. Though those two years were hard, his mental and physical state deminished and he was never quite the same after his release in May 1867. He and his family travelled for two tyear, but ended up back in America where he worked in an insurence company that later went bankrupt. The North had motives and were set on ending this their way. The North had more materials so they could easily outlast the South. Also requesting help didn't always work, some allies might not want to help, and they couldn't rely on them all the time. During the Civil War women weren't allowed to be anything but nurses if they were involved in the war. Over 400 of these brave women didn't want to lsten to the men, and became soldiers. They dresses like men and cut their hair to be like a mans. This reminds me of Disneys Mulan, where Mulan, wanting to do more then what women would do at the time, joined a war that her father could not due to an injury. Women were not allowed to join, but Mulan didn't listen and ended up being the best soldier. Not happy wit hliving in Kentucky, they moven to Indiana when Little Abe was 7 years old. He worked constantly and had three brief periods of school. Not to long after in 1830 he moved again to Illinois where he got many jobs and eventually became legislator in 1834. He was opposed to slavery and wanted to expland focus less on agriculture but more on cities and commerce. During his time as a lawyer in Springfield, he ment Mary Todd and married her in the year 1842. He won a spot in the House of Representatives, but was unpopular with voters and returned to Springfield in 1849, once his term ended. in October of 1854 he joined a debate against the Kansas-Nebraska Act created by Stephen Douglas, made so that federal government didn't decide if slaves were allowed, the state would decide for itself. He fought Douglas in many debates and his reputation grew. If the rails didn't exist then I feel like there would be many more casualties and the war could have been very different. This was mainly a huge help for the confederacy, because they had less supplies and the amount of people were less, so if they could move troops and get supplies without having to risk more lives then they would take it. Religions decided to act on slavery and so did some territories. Factory workers saw what kind of work slaves were doing and might've decided against it after working there.
