The Bridge connects Manhattan with another borough, Brooklyn. It‘s always bad during rush hour on the Brookyln Bridge. They often start roadwork here too. So you are always stuck in a traffic jam. Walking over the bridge offers (anbieten) a great view at the skyline of Manhattan. It takes you about 30 minutes one way.

One building stands out in the New York City skyline. One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the USA. It is 400 feet higher than the old World Trade Center, which was replaced after the attacks on September 11. One World Trade Center has a total height of 1,776 feet (541 meters). It takes 60 seconds to travel to the top. In the elevator you can watch the city‘s history. The new One World Trade Center is on the grounds of the World Trade Center so we can remember the people who died and the people who helped.

The Statue of Liberty was a present from France. Built in 1886 it still is a famous world symbol of freedom. It is one of the world's largest statues as it is 93 metres tall. The view is fantastic from the top. But it can get hot in there - 20°C hotter than outside. And you have to climb 350 steps because there is no elevator. Between 1892 and 1954 over twelve million immigrants came to the United States by ship. The Statue of Liberty was one of the first things they saw. They had to go through immigration at the Immigration Station on Ellis Island. Thousands of immigrants were controlled before entering the United States. It’s a museum now. You can see the names of immigrants on the Wall of Honor.
