Back home in Colombia, even though my sisters got married we used to live in the same block so we were able to help each other in case of need.

I love this agency, it brings so much happiness to those families  that are in need of stability and a roof to live under. I was homeowner of one of those houses, and the emotion that bring to own a house is priceless. having my first own house was excited and gratifying. He is sweet, and he is stubborn like his mom. He loves hugs, and he loves giving me kisses. He is the reason I wake up every day with the desire to be the most successful person, so that I can give him a better future. 
He requires extra attention because he has Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. He has been in therapies, and social workers have also assisted him. He is much better than before. 
My son is my blessing, is the best gift I have ever received.

Even though I do not impose my believing on to others, I am happy when people are believer and I will never change my convictions for any reasons. Jesus is my savior. My faith is really important to me because I have seen so many miracles done in my family, that it is impossible to do not believe in His most amazing love and power.

Outward affection is extremely important for Colombians. For a Colombian son or daughter it is normal showing affection to his mother or father in public such as putting their arms around their parents. e.g, I love seeing my 24 years old brother hugging my mother at the bank and kissing her on forehead.
It is really rare in Colombia seeing older people be placed in care homes. As human beings we have the bad habit to let people down because of our own interests and conveniences. When people do not understand the real meaning of trust, they easily break that reliability that is in play. He was gentle, he was faithful, he was a excellent brother, excellent son, excellent friend, excellent guide, excellent listener, he was my best friend. I lost him six months before I moved to Canada and leaving his remains behind was the most painful thing I have ever done in my life. For many years I felt that I failed him, because I moved to another country and left his remains back home. 
I named my son after him to honor him, and keep a part of him with me all the time. So having dogs was always something usual for me. When my son was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder I decided to get a dog to help my son with his high level of energy, but just before that I found out that I am allergic to dogs. I was in a serious dilemma.. it was me or my son hyperactivity, and this picture shows my decision. Not many people have that gift but everybody should have it. I love to serve others, to help if they have any need, or if they need any guidance. One thing that gives purpose to my life is helping others, it is like when my spirit and my will connect to each other, therefore, I feel motivated to make other people happy. That should be the purpose of every individual in this world; find happiness through making others happy.
