Find your Eagles Get Lit Reading Log from our Schoology page. Once on the Google Sheet, go to the share box and click it. Find the share. Under General access change the setting to "Anyone with a Link" and then select Viewer as the level of access. Click the Copy link button on the bottom left of the box and place the link here for easy access.

How to Make Your Own Copy of the Padlet Template

Before you start adding your work, you need to make your own version of this Padlet. Follow these steps carefully:

Step 1: Open the Template

Click on the Padlet link your teacher shared.
You should see the example template.

Step 2: Make a Copy

Look at the top right corner of the Padlet.
Click the three dots (…) menu.
Choose “Remake” from the list of options.

Step 3: Set Up Your Copy

A new Padlet will open that belongs to you.
Rename it: Your Name – Comp Lit 2 Portfolio.
Keep the format the same (don’t delete the example sections).

Step 4: Customize

Change the background, title, and description to fit your style.
Add your motivational quote or personal message.
This is now your space to use all year long!

Step 5: Share with Your Teacher

Click Share (top right).
Copy the link to your Padlet.
Submit the link on Schoology so your teacher can view your portfolio.

Welcome to your Comp Lit 2 Padlet Portfolio! This space is where you will gather, organize, and reflect on your work throughout the year. By the end of the course, you’ll have a record of your growth as a reader, writer, and thinker.

Step 1: Personalize Your Page

Choose a background, colors, or images that inspire you.
Add a motivational quote or short message that represents your goals for this year.
Make this space feel like it belongs to you!

Step 2: Collect Your Work

All assignments will first be posted on Schoology.
When you finish and are ready to “close” an assignment, link it here on your Padlet.
Each assignment should have its own post.

Step 3: Reflect on Your Learning

Every time you add a piece of work, write a short reflection in your Padlet post:

What did you learn from completing this assignment?
What skills did you practice or improve?
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
How does this connect to your growth as a reader, writer, or critical thinker?

Step 4: Use the Example as a Guide

Your teacher will maintain a sample Padlet throughout the year.

In the story, the story talks about how Leigh, the main character says that her mom is a bird. Her mother died from suicide due to severe depression throughout her life. Later, the dad ends up moving with Leigh to find her grandparents, or also known as Leigh's mother's parents. Leigh believes that her mother is a bird due to the recent events happening. Leigh has never met her grandparents before, her parents never allowed her to meet them for an unknown reason. Her plan: to catch the bird gently and caring so the bird knows its Leigh.
