Mom chose to try the Whipple and it was successful ... 27 years and 9 months successful! 

I miss Mom everyday and participate in PurpleRideStride to share her gratitude for the years of joy we credit to her Whipple and research done before 1992. She fought incredibly hard but lost her battle on December 4, 2017. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and I miss her terribly. Purple is my new favorite color, from my hair, to my clothes and even the rocks that I collect. I know we were lucky to have 2 1/2 years after diagnosis, but it's not enough. We need to increase survival and I will never stop fighting until we beat this disease. He fought a brave fight for 16 years before passing in November of 2011. 19 years will never be enough time with him...
