She is teal blooded, and there is a fan theory that if two trolls were in love, the troll of the lower blood caste must dress in the colour of the other's blood as protection, so this is kinda like Terezi wearing purple lipstick because of her kismessitude with Gamzee (a purple-blooded troll).
