         <description><![CDATA[<div>PROJECT DRAGONLEEK<br>Our interdisciplinary centre's aim is to promote and increase Welsh Language proficiency among student teachers in the Glamorgan area to national norms. This will be achieved over 3 years using a 100K ESRC grant for additional teaching support and marketing aimed at Children in Key Stage 2.&nbsp; This is a partnership between the Welsh language centre and the primary education course.<br>&nbsp;Dragonleek: Evaluative Strategy:<br>Who: administrators, scholars (teachers), proficient Welsh language experts, project manager/administrator, faculty adviser and/or director, student tutors, volunteers, and partnership with the Welsh language society and local councils.&nbsp;<br>How: Resources will be budgeted based on the needs of 1) media campaign: radio, social networking, newspaper advertisements, posters, merchandise such as sweaters, t-shirts, key chains, pins, mugs, etc. 2) Securing a central location on campus. 3) Operation will be managed by a paid dedicated administrator, a faculty adviser and/or director, student tutors.&nbsp;<br>Additional funds will be raised from merchandise sales and fund-raising efforts such as food drives, car washes, raffles and draws which will also raise awareness in the community.<br>How: Services will feature clubs, tutoring, translation, editing &amp; proofreading, special seminars. Centre will also have an online presence through internet registration, Facebook, and Twitter<br>Formative Evaluation:&nbsp;<br>reverse Likert scale survey offered after sessions or online to gather trainee teachers satisfaction levels relating to Welsh language knowledge acquisition and confidence levels in teaching Welsh themselves. <br>Micro-teach observation-feedback of students own teaching and level of Welsh proficiency. <br>Stakeholder focus group meetings<br>create a client demographic based on registration information.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
