We mainly did this because prices were cheap due to the pandemic, and they were eager to go out and do something. It was a three day trip, and we all had a great time. It was pouring rain on the day we were supposed to leave, though. I'm pretty sure it was the offshoots of a hurricane, but I may be wrong. Overall, it was a very fun trip, but when we got home our cat was mad at us. A friend of the family had come to feed him everyday, but he was not happy. He is a generally mean cat, but this was worse than usual. He calmed down after a bit, but it felt like a very long time. When he's mad, he doesn't just scratch you or bite you, he will run the top of the stairs and start yelling. He will sit up there and howl for such a long time. Once he stopped, everything was fine and we all had time to relax, and we definitely needed it. I think it was overall a good experience, but I'm sure you can tell that the cat affected it a bit. My mom has been making some food for our family Mother's Day celebration, which is also my cousin’s birthday. Since it is his birthday, she was making some form of cheese-shrimp dish. She was making this specific dish because he loves shrimp and she wanted to do something special for his birthday. So anyways, she was making the shrimp and everything was going fine. All the ingredients were going in fine, she was cooking the shrimp, cutting the garlic, melting the butter, etc. She had been cooking for a few hours now and for the most part, without a problem. However, it couldn't have gone well the entire time. When disaster struck, she was about to cut shrimp, but somehow accidentally cut it wrong and the shrimp went flying. It somehow flew across the room, yet none of us knew where it went. It has been a couple hours since that happened, and the shrimp has still not been found. For some reason, this shrimp is very elusive and I have doubts that we will ever find it. It is so extremely inconsistent. The rain is so sporadic that it will literally be raining one second and clear skies the next. It's really frustrating because you will plan to do something and think it's completely fine because there is not a notion of rain in the sky, but it rains anyway. It can also rain extremely hard in that one second that it's raining, and then go right back to being nice out. This is bad because when the rain comes out of nowhere, you don't take things back inside. This causes all your stuff outside to get destroyed or all gross without you even thinking that could happen. It also tends to rain even while it is completely sunny which is especially frustrating because at least when the rain comes out of nowhere, you can immediately tell that it's raining. However, with the sun showers, it makes you second guess if it's actually raining.
