Call and Brown (1994) describe the relation between language and culture as follows: 'A language is a part of a culture and a culture is a part of a language; the two are intricately interwoven. Thus, language cannot be separated from the culture in which it is deeply embedded. By failing to draw students’ attention to the cultural elements and to discuss their implications, the teachers allow misconceptions to develop in the students’ minds. Furthermore, these two areas cannot be separated because language is the key to the cultural heritage of another people or that knowledge of another language enables individuals to increase their personal culture through contact with great minds and literatures.

According to Kovács, (2017), cultural teaching is a long and complex process concerning something more than language use itself. One of the main aim is to increase students' awareness and to develop their curiosity towards the target culture and their own, helping them to make comparisons among cultures. Culture in language teaching has always been a challenging subject for teachers. The teaching of culture is a long and complex process that has to do with more than the use of language itself. The teacher's goal should be to increase students' awareness and develop their curiosity towards the target culture and their own, helping them to make cross-cultural comparisons.

It may seem obvious to many second or foreign language teachers that culture should be taught, but teaching culture in the classroom may not be as easy as it might seem. In most cases, the language classroom may be the only way that cultural contact occurs; therefore, the environment should be as open as possible to meaningful cultural learning (Damen, 1987).

For this reason, some tools to introduce culture in language teaching can be:
1. The use of authentic materials: television shows, news broadcasts, films.

2. The use of different websites or printed materials: travel brochures, photographs, newspapers, magazines, restaurant menus.
