Vergleiche: Lupe und Suppe.
Das u in Lupe ist lang gesprochen also kein Doppelkonsonant.
Suppe hat ein kurzes u und darum wird das p verdoppelt.

Merke: tz und ck kommt nie nach l, m, n und r
