A winner has to work for the prize that they want, not just beg for it. And a winner is also the first, second or third in my personal opinion. Being first, second or third means being on a podium sometimes, so i feel that being on a podium shows that your a winner.

2. Winning is to beat/defeat the others [people] in the challenge/race/game/etc. Winners sometimes may also receive a prize, like: a medal, a trophy, certificate, present/normal prizes or a cash prize.

A winner is someone who has achieved something in a particular time, or thing.A winner is also someone who achieves something fair and square. A winner must have put in a lot of hard work to achieve this particular thing. Another word for 'winner' is 'victory. For example you can win a running race. How? By getting to the finishing line the first. To congratulate this winner ,gifts or medals are presented to him/her.

Winning is something you can achieve. Winning can be anything from winning a simple game of Snap or winning the Olympics. Though there are different levels for winning is the same thing. But winning is not always important. Many people who have wanted to win, have won the wrong way [ cheating].Though you must be focused on winning, you cannot be too carried away to get prizes or medals.

But a winner don't always win. That is when sportmanship comes in. When a winner is so used to winning and suddenly, someone better than you won you. Instead of throwing a big fuss, you should instead congratulate the winner.

2. What does it mean to win?
It means like being the first to finish a race or a competition. It can be a contest too. Is like getting first place. Winning means that you are good at that thing you won. For example, you win an art contest because you are good at art or you won a spelling bee that means you are good at your spelling.
