         <description><![CDATA[<p>This resource could be used in an 8th-grade ELAR class after reading the novel, "The Watsons Go to Birmingham 1963". Teachers could visit the Civil Rights Teaching section of this website and pull sample lesson plans that cover different topics about Civil Rights. One lesson provided is "The Rebellious Lives of Mrs. Rosa Parks". This lesson encourages students to dive into Rosa Parks other heroic stories and gives examples of how she stood up for her rights. We all know the famous story, but there are so many more. </p><p>Every student portrays a different rebellious moment in Rosa Parks’ life and shares it with another classmate.</p>]]></description>
