Skills Development: Students develop a wide range of ICT skills, including digital media production, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving, which are essential for success in the digital age.

Positive School Culture: The talent platform fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and celebration of student achievements, enhancing the overall school environment.

Future Opportunities: Students who excel in the talent platform may gain recognition, scholarships, or opportunities for further study or career advancement in ICT-related fields.

Digital Literacy Gaps: Not all students and teachers may possess the necessary digital literacy skills to effectively navigate and utilise technology for learning and teaching purposes. Providing ongoing training and support to develop digital literacy skills is crucial but can be time-consuming and resource-intensive.

Partnerships and Collaboration: Forming partnerships and collaborating with industry partners, technology companies, educational institutions, and community organizations to provide students with real-world learning experiences, mentorship opportunities, and access to cutting-edge technology and resources.

P6 Prefects EXCO Team is responsible in equipping P4 and P5 prefects with the necessary skills to conduct the School Tour.

Some of the items covered by the Prefects EXCO in the training workshop include:

• Equipping basic skills in conducting the tour

• Brainstorming on (i) Ideas to engage the K2 pupils (ii) Types of resources needed for the tour / information on interesting, popular corners / places of school

Focus Group Discussion

The FGD session was first conducted in 2023. P5 and P6 EXCO will conduct the ice breaker games for the first FGD with all the prefects.

They will then facilitate the FGD that looks into the challenges and brainstorm for solutions to these challenges. This discussion provides a platform for prefects to voice their opinions, concerns, and ideas regarding various aspects of school life.

This session also promotes student empowerment and fosters a sense of ownership and accountability by the prefects and mould them into leaders who has the ability to think on their feet.

Teachers' Day Celebration

P5 Prefects facilitated the planning of the programmed flow, performances, and decorations with the prefects in 10 after school sessions.

Through this sessions, they developed strong project management skills to effectively carry out their responsibilities and initiatives within the school community.

They also gained confidence in Project Management and could work independently to complete the planning process. They were also calm and collected when handling challenges during the process.

P1 Orientation

P4 and P5 prefects supported the teachers in the P1 Orientation by planning the games and the filler activities.

They will also be involved in the Orientation Day to conduct these activities.

The P1 Orientation gave an opportunity for prefects to build their confidence by practicing speaking in front of small groups.
