They expect you to take that feedback you receive and apply it to your already written essay. We also did KLW charts in school. KLW stands for know, want to know, and what I learned. We would do group projects all the time. For example, we would make a powerpoint about a book including information about said book dividing up task. It helped to be able to know what I was working towards. Another example is daily objectives.
