I think this poem related to Walter. I think this because he often talks about the life he wants to have for himself and his family. He tries to turn his life around and give his family a good life, but he keeps messing up. The song is about the same thing,  In the first few lines are about "all my good intentions turn into dust," and I feel that matched up with Walter perfectly. Mostly when we gives that money away so his friend can get him a liquor license but ends up running off with the money.
