Hefeng is located in the southeastern section of the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. It is where Pingshan Ravine lies. A few years ago some photos taken at Pingshan Ravine went viral online and were seen by millions of netizens. The water there is so clear that people on the little boats feel as if they were floating in the air. Many say everyone should visit the place at least once in their lifetime.

In addition to Pingshan, there are are equally, if not more beautiful, places to visit in my home town. For examples, the Muershan Tea Garden, Dongjia River, and Five-Dragon Mountain.

A small county in the high mountains, Hefeng used to be very hard to access, but today the car ride from Enshi takes less than two hours (Enshi is about 4 hours train ride from Wuhan.)

Welcome to Hefeng, Eudora’s home town!

My hometown can be said to be a place with few praises, and today it is up to me to create a unique way to praise my hometown - Hotan!

My hometown is Hotan, Xinjiang, a desert area that is the southernmost part of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a total area of 247,400 square kilometers, of which 33.3% are mountainous, 63% are desert Gobi and only 3.7% are oases. Hotan is 1513 km from the capital Urumqi1. Hotan area is a typical inland arid area, with 36 large and small rivers and rich mineral resources, famous for the rich production of Hetian jade, and is a famous jade town, silk town, carpet capital and melon and fruit town2. Hotan is a multi-ethnic area with Uyghurs as the main body, mainly including 22 ethnic groups such as Uyghurs, Han, Hui, Kazakhs and Kirgiz.

Located in the southernmost part of Xinjiang, Hotan was called "Khotan" in ancient times, which means "the place where jade is produced", "Dengkunlun eats jade, and lives with heaven and earth and the sun and moon is Qi guang" This is Qu Yuan's poem that once praised Hetian jade. Hotan is also the earliest Buddhist center in the Western Regions, with a rich Buddhist cultural heritage, many famous monks, such as Fa Xian in the Jin Dynasty, Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty, have set foot in Hotan, and the rich, unique 'national customs' are even more refreshing and full of exotic styles.

Since ancient times, Hotan has been famous for "abundant crops, lush flowers and fruits", and is famous for producing jade, silk and carpets, and is famous as the "hometown of jade", "the hometown of silk" and "the capital of carpets". Today, Wada's song and dance still have a unique artistic charm. There are the scenery of the world's second largest desert, the 2,000-year-old silk monuments, as well as the desert oasis created by human struggle with nature, the Thousand Miles Grape Corridor and other literati views!

In spring, the creamy snow melts, green trees pull out new branches, trickling streams run through the city, "human" spring geese run rampant in the sky, and everything is revived and vibrant!

In summer, the lush trees, tender green branches and leaves, the wide road is tightly covered, the nose is fragrant, and the butterflies flying in the sky are not a paradise scene!

In autumn, the golden leaves dancing in the wind accompanied by the sweet fragrance of melons and fruits fill the air, and the beauty of spring and autumn is like a colorful picture scroll made by Ma Liang's divine pen!

In winter, the north wind is angry, but there are still Uygur uncles singing in the wind, the white city, the foggy sky, what a scenery!

I love my hometown, I praise my hometown, I sing my hometown, not because of its richness and splendor, but because she is not conspicuous, but still able to make her children proud of her!

Welcome to my hometown Hetian, Xinjiang!

One of the most famous drinks is Maotai. Every country has its own drink, China has Maotai, The National Wine of China. Several attempts have been made to replicate Maotai but to failure as no one was even near to the taste of Maotai made in Guizhou Province. It is often acknowledged that town ’s unique soil, water and climate contribute to the taste of Maotai. The wine becomes a part of every big and small festivity held in China. What ’s more, Zunyireally has a great diversity of street foods. For instance, the rice-noodles with mutton, noodles with douhua, lover’s tofu, and various types of foods made with potatoes.
Kristen: Fangcheng, Henan

Hi, everyone! I am so happy to introduce my hometown to you guys. I come from Fangcheng, a big county of Nanyang City in the southwest of Henan Province with fourteen towns, one ethnic township and four subdistricts. It doesn't have as much energy, innovation, and prosperity as the city, but its enjoyable climate and unique natural landscape created by its unique geographical location, its rich cultural deposit and a variety of specialties will definitely bring you a special experience and impress you a lot.

As I have mentioned above, it is Fangcheng's unique geographical location that begets its wonderful climate and natural landscape. Why is it so unique? Not only because Fangcheng miraculously lies on five boundaries--the boundary between the northern subtropical zone and the southern warm temperate zone, between Yangtze River basin and Huaihe River basin, between Nanyang Basin and Huanghuai Plain, between Funiu Mountains and Tongbai Mountains, between North China Platform and Qinling geosyncline, but also because it has a unique bealock, a natural pass at the junction of the Tongbai and Funiu Mountains, through which the Central Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project transfers billions of cubic meters of water per year. And that's why Fangcheng has been honored as Five Boundaries and One Bealock. Then what about the climate of Fangcheng? I think it's very comfortable and wonderful because it has four distinct seasons, each of which lasts about three months and owns its own characteristics. Living here, you can see the refreshing views of the blooming flowers and the melting river in Spring, feel the heat of sun blazing like fire in Summer, experience the bleak atmosphere of the Autumn, and dance in the falling snowflakes of winter. What's more, there are special foods which only can be found and enjoyed by us in a particular season, like the wild vegetables in spring. As to the beautiful natural landscape created by Fangcheng's special location between two mountain ranges, Qifeng Mountain and 72 Pools are the most famous and beautiful among the mountains in Fangcheng. Qifeng Mountain, a mountain with seven peaks, is known for its steep road, lush trees and winding rivers, attracting lots of tourists to climb the mountain. 72 Pools is next to Qifeng Mountain. It isn't as high as Qifeng Mountain but its 72 different ponds enjoys different beauty. I am sure that one of them must be your type.

Fangcheng, called Yuzhou in ancient times, has a very long history from Xia Dynasty to the present and thereby is rich in it cultural deposits. Until now, the Great Wall built by the Chu Kingdom still overlooks and guards Fangcheng and its people. The remains of the ancient Battlefield in Bowang Town reminds people of Zhuge Liang's burning the Bowang Slope. Lianzhen Temple, where Princess Huyang in Eastern Han Dynasty sought Taoism devoutly, attracts people to come to visit and worship. In addition, Fangcheng is also the hometown of Chengsheng-the leader of peasant uprising at the end of Qin Dynasty, Zhang Shizh-a famous jurist of Western Han Dynasty, and the combat hero of Air Force of the CPLA Du Fengrui. It was also where Zhang Qian the explorer of the Silk Roads gained his feud.

Last but not least, we cannot ignore the various specialities of Fangcheng. If you like fruits, the Whangkeumbae pears of Bowang Town are big and juicy with a sweet taste and a pleasant fragrance. The pomegranate produced on Sanhuan Mountain and the apricot produced in Yunguan Mountain are also good choices. Among the specialities, what I most want to recommend to all of you is Fangcheng stewed noodles. Its cooking process is not that difficult. To make such a bowl of stewed noodles, you need to put the noodles, which is like Biangbiang noodles, into a milk-like mutton soup made with a variety of spices to stew and then you can add some pak choi to the soup. The final thing that you have to do is to wait until all the things are ready and eat! A bowl of perfect stewed noodles should have a milk-like rich soup and smooth and chewy noodles.

Hello, everyone! I’m happy to introduce to you my hometown-- Zhaoqing. Located in the central and western part of Guangdong Province, Zhaoqing was called Duanzhou in ancient times. It is one of the nine cities of the Pearl River Delta Region. What’s more, it is also an important node city in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Pearl River-Xijiang Economic Belt. Zhaoqing is small, but it is rich in many aspects. It is rich in natural resources, which includes Seven Star Cave that consists of seven rocks arranged like the Big Dipper and has the reputation of "the first wonder of Lingnan Region". In addition, Zhaoqing also has its unique cultural atmosphere. In this city, you can see the production technique of Duan inkstone, which is a national intangible cultural heritage.

What I want to share with you in detail is the building in the picture. This is an architectural style that spreads in Guangfu area. It is called the wok ear house. The first time I saw this kind of building was when I went to Xinghua Town in my junior high school. At that time, I was attracted by it. This kind of house has raising gables that are shaped like wok ears, which are the ears of a cauldron used for cooking. They are fire-proof, heat resistant and well-ventilated. There is also a folk saying that this kind of house implies wealth and auspiciousness, abundant food and clothing, and also has the meaning of being the champion.

What I have mentioned above is just a small part of Zhaoqing. Welcome to my hometown! Hope you can enjoy the beauty of it!

Located in the north of Shangrao City, Dexing City is named after the meaning of "the treasure of mountains and rivers, but 'de' means 'Xing' "(山川之宝，惟德乃兴). In the eight years of Jian'an of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 203), Dexing County had a history of more than 1800 years. In December 1990, the county was abolished and the city was established. Known as "Gold Mountain", "Silver City" and "copper capital", Dexing had proven reserves and developed more than 30 kinds of minerals, with an annual copper output ranking first in China and gold ranking first in Jiangnan. It is an important non-ferrous metal industrial base in China. What's more, Dexing mine is the largest open-pit copper mine in Asia. In the past, copper was overexploited. Now, people practice planned extraction so that resource utilization could be higher.

Next, I would like to introduce a special snack in our hometown - Wu Lao Guo(乌佬果). According to legend, "Wu Lao Guo" was invented by Huang Xie, one of the "four princes of the Warring States". Listening to the elders handed down, Huang Xie fled to Damao Mountain in Dexing, Jiangxi Province in order to avoid being hunted. Because the ferns in the mountain were the perfect solution to his hunger, he settled down here. But the life of fern was seasonal so that they can't survive the autumn and winter. The clever Huang Xie thought of washing the root of mountain fern, grinding it into powder and drying it, turning it into dough and then breading some vegetable stuffing as food. Hiding in the mountains for a long time with enduring wind and rain, his skin became dark and often were filled with dirty mud. The local people did not know his real name so they gave him a nickname "Wu Lao", "Wu Lao" is borrowed from the local dialect homophony, meaning "dirty". That's why the food made by him is called "Wu Lao Guo".

I remember that when I was a child, people would prepare this food on special holidays or when the family entertained guests. "Wu Lao Guo" does not look black, but crystal and clear. It's very delicious which is beyond words. And you are very welcome to come to Dexing to try this dish!

Stuffed with the clear water of the lake south of the river, the vast Tengger Desert, sitting on the back of a camel, imagining yourself as a merchant on the Silk Road. Located in the hinterland of the Ordos Plateau, Ordos was surrounded by the Yellow River on the west, north and east.

Although Ordos is a city in Inner Mongolia, there are not just endless grasslands here. The most beautiful spot in Ordos that I want to introduce to you is a desert called Singing Sand Bay. It also has a Mongolian name of “brymanha”, which means “sand dune with trumpet”. It is said that you can hear the sand “sing” in the desert when you slide down the dune. But although I have been there playing so many times, I have never heard the sand “sing”. Perhaps I was unlucky.

In Singing Sand Bay, You can see the sand dunes shining with golden radiance under the sun and the camel caravan move forward on the line where the sky meets the dune, which makes us marvel at the charm of the desert in a trance. Nowadays, there are more and more interesting and attractive entertainment in Ordos waiting for tourists to experience.

As a native of Ordos, I really love the pace of life there. In Ordos, people can not only enjoy the hustle and bustle of modern life, but also take a moment to experience the slower, more relaxed life of a small town, especially in Kangbashi, which was built beautifully as a new town in Ordos. Besides, the people of Ordos are friendly, passionate and good-hearted. They always serve the best food and wine to their guests.

This is my hometown and welcome to Ordos!

This is my favorite picture! My hometown is a small place in Zhoukou, Henan with a strong rural atmosphere. I took this picture from my balcony at dusk one day. Standing there, with the sky flowing so flat and touchable, white and orange clouds moving in the shape of a phoenix, a visiting breeze occasionally mixed with the distant barking of dogs, I felt incomparable comfort and serenity, which is always the special genetic connection attached to me and the small town.

At that time I remember that the wheat had been haversted. The only thing left in the field was the wheat stubble, which used to be burned. But for the sake of the air and climate, such traditional practice in agricultural production was banned. The earth showed her yellow breast to the farmers, as if to tell her partner that she was ready for the next breeding.

I don't know if it's true that most places in Henan are plains. What I can say for sure is that there are few mountains in my hometown. All you can see in all seasons are fields stretching to the horizon. We plant various crops, including wheat, peanut, soybean, corn, sweet potato, watermelon, and so on. So if you want to have sweet, watery watermelon, here is a good place for you to enjoy it!

Some people claim that places with wind-powered generators are destined to be poor and unenlightened. I don't think so. After all, Henan is an important agricultural province, providing 1/4 of the country's wheat!

Welcome to my hometown! Welcome to Henan!

Ma’anshan, the industrial center in southeastern Anhui province. Ma’anshan is situated on the south bank of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang), near the border of Jiangsu province. In 1983 Ma’anshan became a prefecture-level city.

The region along the southern bank of the Yangtze has long been a mining area. During the First Five-Year Plan and the Second Five-Year Plan, Ma’anshan rapidly grew into a major industrial center. In the early 1950s Ma’anshan’s iron production was increased to supply the steel industry in Shanghai. In recent 20 years, it was decided to develop Ma’anshan into an integrated iron and steel complex. Other industries subsequently were developed, including the manufacture of machinery, chemicals, construction equipment, and electronic equipment and electric-power generation. Nowadays the steel industry is declining, it is no longer the core economy in Ma’anshan.

As a member of the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomerations, the major infrastructure here is the subway connecting Ma’anshan and Nanjing, which will be done in next year. The subway will join the neighboring cities together for a sustainably growing economy.

In recent years, the economy center is gradually pivoting from the steel industry to cultural industry. The environmental situation is better than before, and cultural atmosphere is stronger now.

The most famous visiting site is Caishiji（采石矶）. Legend has it that Li Bai, the most prestige poet in China , was drinking wine in a gazebo near the Yangtze River one night, then he got so drunk that he thought that the clear moon’s reflection in the water would be easy to reach, so he tried to touch it but fall in the river. This is the story of how Li Bai died. In memory of Li Bai, the gazebo is now named the Tai Bai Lou（太白楼）. His tomb is located in Dangtu county. Many tourists would come here and bring Li Bai a bottle of wine.

Even though Ma’anshan is just a small city with little fun, the food, the railway, the familiar dialect, these will always comfort me. Welcome to Ma’anshan for a peaceful journey.

Among them, the most representative ones are Yulong Manshougong ——Fuzhou Guild Hall, Wenchang Bridge, Zhengjue Temple, Catholic Church, Xiaoyi Bridge and so on. The Gan School of architecture(赣派建筑)is scattered in every corner of Wenchangli. The name of Wenchangli originated from the mid-Tang Dynasty, when the Fuzhou government built a dam on the Fu River east of the city to store water. After the dam was built, according to ancient astrology, "Wenchang is in the north of the bucket, and is said to be the main Fuzhou." The Northern Song Dynasty inherited the Tang Dynasty township system, east of the Fu River belongs to the east wing of the harbour, because of its land Wenchang Weir, so the Wenchang Weir near the area named "Wenchang Li", so far it has been a thousand years. Subsequently, place names related to"Wenchang", such as Wenchang Bridge, Wenchang Gate, Wenchang Hall, Wenchang Building,Wenchang Pavilion, Wenchang Xuan and a number of other Gan architecture representing the cultural characteristics of Linchuan into being one after another.

Shanxi Taigu, my hometown, is a famous historical and cultural city. It is located at the mouth of the valley of the Taihang Mountains, hence the name Taigu. Most of its terrain is flat, belonging to the Fen River Valley. It has nurtured a splendid Chinese civilization since ancient times. There are many places of interest in Taigu, but one of my favorites is Taigu Old Street.

With the Gulou as the center, the Old street of Taigu has four main streets connecting seventy-two alleys in the surrounding area. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Taigu Old Street reached its peak due to the rise of Jin merchants. Unlike the new and well-organized ancient city attractions that can be found everywhere in the China, Taigu Old Street still retains its ancient flavor, with stores on both sides of the street, ranging from restaurants to satin stores, antique stores to traditional handicraft workshops.

Compared with the "old" Old Street, the Gulou in the center of the Old Street has just been restored and is extremely eye-catching. To the Ming Dynasty, the Jin merchants began to rise. Taigu Old Street gradually became an important trade distribution center. The Old Street people donated funds to build a four-door Gulou in the center of the city, to meet the merchants from the south to the north. Gulou was built in the forty-third year of the Ming Wanli. For more than four hundred years, the Gulou stands tall, like a kind old man, sheltered from the flow of people coming and going, but also witnessed the rise and fall of the old street turnover.

From the Gulou doorway to South Street, the advertisement of an old Taigu cake store is very eye-catching. Taigu cake is the most distinctive food of the Old Street. It is the dry food in the past Jin merchants traveled around the world must bring, but also today is the taste of home the most faraway travelers miss.

Standing under the Gulou, looking along the doorway, although the old street has some vicissitudes, but because of the old city people have been living in its, it still exudes a charming fireworks. It is not like an attraction, but a witness to the past glory of Jin merchants. Visitors can be quiet, slowly walk around, unknowingly will be integrated into the Old Street life.
