         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Purim: Purim this year is on March 24th. Purim is one of the most enjoyable holidays on the Jewish calendar where kids play games at their temple. The holiday commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people. <br><br>Yom Kippur: Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year for Jews. Jews fast for about 25 hours on that day.</strong></div><div><strong><br>Passover: Passover commemorates the story of the Exodus, in which the ancient Jews were freed from slavery in Egypt.<br><br>Rosh Hashanah: Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. It is celebrated 10 days before Yom Kippur. <br><br>Chanukah: Chanukah is a eight day celebration commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. </strong></div>]]></description>

Jews are supposed to rest on this day, and not use cars or electricity.<br><br>Kosher eating: This type of diet puts a limit to what Jews can eat. They are limited from eating certain foods like anything from a pig, shellfish, and meat prepared with dairy products.<br><br>Types of synagogues: There are three types of synagogues. They are Orthodox, which is extremely religious, Conservative which is in the middle, and Reformed which incorporates English the most. &nbsp;</strong></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The israelites were the ancestors of the Jewish people. Abraham was the father of the israelites. The basic teachings of judaism are in the Torah. It is the most sacred text in the jewish religion. The Torah teaches people many laws of life and how to live it. For example, the torah tells jews about how to live moral lives. They are taught to "Love your neighbour as yourself." There are 613 commandments in the Torah. It also consists of the first 5 books in the hebrew bible. The Hebrew Bible is called Tanakh. The Talmud is also important to jewish life. It is the book of ancient jewish writings that interpret the laws and teachings of the Hebrew Bible. </strong></div>]]></description>

It is served on passover and is also known as the unleavened bread. It is bread that doesn’t rise. Kugel is basically a baked casserole. Some desserts are chocolate babka, which is bread with chocolate swirled in it. Hamantash is a filled pocket cookie or pastry shaped as a triangle, made during Purim. &nbsp;</strong></div>]]></description>
